They really need to see if they can do something about the weight gain and make this one lighter I know until they change the platform again thats not really possible I just don't want the next mustang to be a cow

Wow. I really like that. I mean I really want a Cobra but it would probably be easier for me to get a newer mustang and then supercharge it.

I really really like that. With that hood its gotta be a 5.0 under there.

Personally, I don't like it. At all, but according to the guy I talked to at the Ford Dealership, there is possibility in a better engine. I asked him if he'd heard what the deal is there, he said that they've been talking about a 5.4l 3v, a lot like the 2 liter triton truck motors, but going with the third valve to keep up with the '05+
Don't anybody get your hopes up though, that was the same dealership that told me that the Mustang would be a sedan in 2010. (which is obviously false)

I think they need to make a new mach 1 edition with a NA 4v 5.4 they could probably get 400 out of that and then it would be right there with the next gen camaro but it's gotta have the shaker

-1 on a new mach. Maybe bring it back in another 10 years, or else all collectability value goes to hell for the '03-'04s

I want somthing with a NA 4v 5.4 cause the 2000 cobra R was rocking but there were so few just imagine the modding potential of a new 4v 5.4 without the shelby price tag

i think the top 2 pictures dont really do the car justice to me kinda looks like the current gen mustang, but i think the mad cow disease paint throws me off cuz the other 2 pics(the orange ones) look amazing

the cow paint job is supposed to inhibit depth perception and make it more difficult to make out the lines of the car they do it to lots of the mules when they aren't tarping parts of them

For a limited edition vehicle with a 4v 5.4 I imagine the price tag would be only a couple thousand below the Shelby.

Another couple comments about the 2010 --

I seem to remember them wanting to make the 2010 models a new-edge/retro type deal like the Camaro and Challenger, and with the pictures posted above, they totally missed. The rear should be higher, and the brake panel redone completely. There is really little to no retro-ness I see here.

I say -1 on the retroness. They've been modelling stangs after older models for the past 2 generations of Mustang. Its going to be 2010. I think its a total miss trying to make a car look like a retro model, but look advanced at the same time. I think its one or the other. I like this new style. Looks good.

Isn't that a 64 1/2? If so the New Edges were supposed to be "modelled" after them if i'm not mistaken.

I'm not sure what the 05+'s were supposed to look like. Most likely the 68' range.

Looks like this may be modelled a little after the '71 mustang with a newedge feel to it.

Looks nothing like a '71 to me.. Doesn't look anything like any Mustang ever made at all IMO.

The only thing that appears more retro is that it looks like it's not as wide as the '05-09's..

I like it! The rear definately looks much better, but I am not a fan of those taillights, they need to be all red with limited about of the clear for the reverse light.

it's starting to look better than the s197's IMO. I still say bring back a similar 99-04 body style :D

The front end on the new one looks okay. I hate the rear. Nothing that I'm too impressed with so far, but the jury is still out and I'll decide whether I like it or not when the real ones arrive. I agree with 3.8for the win. The 99-09's are where it is at... for now.

I guess that it is kinda cool that they will be releasing a new picture every few days.
