I would throw in there some color matched valve covers FTW.

Slither 07-14-2008 08:11 AM

When I put the new motor in I will :) At 160k miles on that one I really don't want to drop too much money on making it look too good when it will be yanked out soon :)

krazypony 07-14-2008 08:18 AM

I see you had to even have a Silver Battery too *L

Slither 07-14-2008 08:20 AM

HA! Of course!

venom 07-14-2008 08:24 AM

Holy smokes, yeap Id wait for new motor.

Steeda97 07-14-2008 09:14 AM

yellow02gt 07-14-2008 09:15 AM

What did you use to clean it?

PureStang 07-14-2008 09:15 AM

you missed a spot.

lol. looks good, mine is just as bad and i need to detail it....im just too lazy.

When I got the car the rubber grommet for interior access was missing. Never knew until about a year or so ago when it was storming and I felt water drops on my feet. So yes...I slapped it on there so the inside would stay dry.

PColav6 07-14-2008 09:24 AM

That has my approval..lol

Steeda97 07-14-2008 09:26 AM

haha, i've never seen an engine dirtier than slithers, and cleaner than mustangvsix's. lol.

Slither 07-14-2008 09:43 AM

The outside of mine is usually great. Under the hood is another story. I drive a lot so it is hard for me to keep it clean under there.

lol i can't imagine.

juancarlos91 07-14-2008 01:06 PM

how can you detail an engine??

Steeda97 07-14-2008 02:02 PM

I warm up my engine a bit then I usually cover my air filter, my battery, fuse boxes, and wrap aluminum foil around the cops. Mist it then spray some Degreaser (simple green, or some engine specific cleaner), let it sit for 5 minutes, then spray it off. Then let it run for 2-3 minutes, then use a leaf blower to dry it completely.

Then dress up all the black with Armorall, Back to Black, whatever you have.

juancarlos91 07-14-2008 02:30 PM

i mean to "throw some color on there"..hehe

Stephen4036 07-14-2008 02:39 PM

someone should make a TUTORIAL thread with what to use, what to cover and what to use to clean your engine bay the best.

Stangurey 07-15-2008 07:01 AM

Looks good, nice work! :t:

Stephen4036 07-15-2008 09:15 AM
