"Scarlett"

Hi guys....a few shots of my new (new to me *LOL*) baby... These shots are of course all pre-striping, pre-Magnaflow, pre-whatever else I think I can add hehe :P And, of course, afford *LOL*

I've got my aftermarket CD/MP3 Receiver and Dual 12" Subs and Amp to put in too.

Welcome! Is that a V6? Looks good.

SRQ 04-21-2008 11:32 AM

Thanks!! Yeah, it's a 6. I went in the dealership to get a '06 V8 I saw online, they sold it the night before.....but still fell in love with this one when I drove it :)

3.8for the win 04-21-2008 11:39 AM

welcome torch red FTW!!!

SRQ 04-21-2008 11:42 AM

Thanks!! Heheh yeah wasn't my first color choice, but it's grown on me like a lap dance....love it *LOL*

Nice Mustang!

Hate to be "that guy" but it is not a 40th anniversary edition. All 04 mustangs have the "40th anniversary" fender badges, but they wre not all 40th anniversary editions.

The 40th editions were only available in black, white, and that dark red (lazer red i think?) and only came on some GT's i believe.

They came with a...
Spoiler delete (no spoiler)
40th anniversary plaque right behind the shifter,
painted rotating cobra mirrors,
Arizona beige Bullet wheels,
Arizona Beige stripes on the hood and trunklid,
Arizona Beige beige side stripes,
and "40th anniversary edition" flootmats.

this is a 40th ann edition.

that aside, she looks damn nice! She looks likle a V6 mustang with the "Pony Package" (V8 hood and chrome rims)

mustangvsix 04-21-2008 01:53 PM

looks great! Welcome!

Dave04Mustang 04-21-2008 02:17 PM

yeah its not a 40th ann special edition but its still a nice looking car you have there. All of them have the badge since there all 04's. Also the Red that was chosen for the special edition was a darker red almost maroon but I forgot the name. Torch Red is starting to take over from the people that forgot to paint their car :D (white) :Woot:

EDIT: I give it a couple hours before Pcola comes in and says: "buy a chin spoiler they are on sale for 9 more days" haha

SRQ 04-21-2008 03:00 PM

*LOL* No no, that's all good, as my 'Stang knowledge is fairly limited, I'm here to learn too! I was wondering why other "40's" had stuff mine didn't have. All good, though. I'm planning on adding racing/rocker stripes fairly soon, so that will remedy that, as those are near the top of my want list.

And yeah, I think you nailed the actual model, she's a 6, and I think that's the package it has, the "Pony" package.

Thanks for the info and the props man!!

Yeah the actual limited edition 35th anni GTs were different too, they had the 01+ spoilers, I THINK the trunk decklids were blacked out too, but anyway, they are pretty rare.

SRQ 04-21-2008 03:09 PM

Wow Dave called it!!! Chin Spoiler!! *LOL*

Good suggestions though man, thanks!! I'll start with the shorty antenna, I can afford the $20 this week *LOL*

yeah they had a special two tone interior, the spoiler, the blacked out deck lid(plastic piece), the hood stripe, and the hood scoop sat lower in the back than the 01's do. Also they had really cool side skirts, and they had 01+ side scoops. And the rims were the 5 spokes that came in 2000 but they had a dark grey area on each spoke.

V6_Mustang_Power 04-22-2008 05:17 AM

nice stang, where'd you get that cellphone holder from thats in your cup holder?

SRQ 04-22-2008 05:56 AM

Thanks man!

I actually got that at a Verizon store, 20 bucks. I have a LG Chocolate, and this holds it perfectly....however, I just took it out, because it seems to be in an awkward position, you have to reach around or over to get to the shifter or the stereo, got kindof annoying *L* SO I took it out and just put my phone in the cupholder the stand was mounted in *L*

rebelyell 04-22-2008 10:22 PM

Looks reak good man. And yes some black accents will set it off. I'm going for the honeycomb rear panel next on mine. And also a chin spoiler is well worth the money. You will be amazed at the difference that makes for appearance. :)

SRQ 04-23-2008 05:40 AM

Nahhh I've got the black top.....I totally agree, white top would make it look like a freakin' Bonneville vert *LMAO* ugly!!

Thanks man! I saw pics of a car with a chin spoiler, didn't see any difference, what exactly is a chin spoiler? Off to research this too *L*
I've had 2 people now tell me I should definitely get one installed..

It's the small black spoiler attached to the bottom of the front bumper. Once you get one you'll see the difference when you see a stang without one. They used to be cheap, but then everyone wanted one so the prices rose, supply and demand. Very easy to mount too.. :)
