Looks much better, I plan on either those or Steeda. Nice drop, 1 1/2 all around?
Give them a week and they will drop even further :)
looks great! wish I could drop that low :( damn LTs lol :D
looks good....
not sure if I'll have ground clearance issues with LT's or not, I have uncut bullitt rears with 1 1/4 coil cut stockers up front. |
Which ones are they, the pro kit or sportlines?
Looks good, watch out for curbs! LOL!
Those are the Pro-Kit springs...before I did the install I measured from the wheel well to the floor and so far the drop on 3 corners was excatly 3/4 inch...the rear right was like 5/8ths of an inch...I figure it will settle...not like anyone will notice 1/8 of an inch anyways...I hope the whole car settles at least another 1/2 inch but the difference is already crazy. Makes the car look so much better...I get my Grill Delete today and still need to order my chin spoiler.
it will settle. when it does, the final drop should be ~1" to 1.25" total. the pro-kits don't drop too much.
looks good. now go get an alignment. :P |
yeah, I wanted about 1 1/4/ inch drop...nothing where i have to worry about curbs and speed bumps...all I need now is the Spoiler to balance it out
was that just the coils? or the entire kit, with sway bars, bushing, etc?
looks great btw! |
Just the springs...I'll do the shocks and struts down the road...need more funding :clock:
Looks great man, I cant wait to get my steedas on. How was the install? And also, hows the handling.
The install was not so bad...I was told to smack out the control arm bolt but that didn't work...I ended up taking of the two bolts that hold on the shock and lowering the whole rotor and brake assembly...you'll have to go under the hood to snap the brake lines out of the little rubber holder but that's no problem...just need to do that so there is enough slack to lower the control arm all the way. As for the ride it is better than stock...no bounce and I don't feel the bumps in the road...best ride of any car I've drivin. Even though the install is not that hard it might be worth it to have them installed...While I was beating on that fockin bolt forever I was thinking to myself that I would have, but now I know how to do it a little easier so I would do it again, if you don't feel comfortable doing it then 100 bucks is well worth it for an install.
Looks good! Wait a week untill they settle and then youll really be impressed. The chin spoiler really sets it off too.
On another note... MINERAL GREY > * :happy9: |
Can't wait for the chin spoiler, I'm trying to wait and show my loyalty by ordering it from MT but damn...it's getting hard... :clock:...especially when my sister called me an hour ago telling my Grill Delete came in...I'll probably wait...gotta love the shipping and prices here.
Ya they were on backorder when I was lookning at them at the end of october when I was ordering mine so I had my buddy order mine from the ford dealership he works for, for cost. Only problem was he forgot to order the connecters because they only come with 3 self locking plastic screws.
OH...I hate being at work knowing my stuff has arrived...oh well, something to look forward to tonight.
dont forget about the brake dive its just about gone. and once you get some better shocks in you can take some 35mph turns at about double that depending on your tires. on your install you just didnt hit it hard enough to pop off the ball joint. when i took off my old struts i had to use 3/4 inch drive (impact gun didnt work) since my car had 50k miles on it. so if you got high miles then try not to take off the struts first.
It's amazing how much better they look with a little drop. I had mine a year before I put the Steeda sports in and I couldn't stand the way it looked. Now when I see a stock car I think how glad I am that I swapped springs.
