I know there are lots of classic car dealerships out there but Fast Lane Cars just outside of St.Louis has 3 showrooms full of classics. They are pretty expensive but I just like to go there to look and drool. lol You can be sure they arent selling junk. They are highest quality restorations. If anybody here is ever in the St Louis/St.Charles,MO area check em out.

That's a good lookin Nova if you're into that kinda thing. I prefer a Mustang. :D

Its an old school muscle car. Theres no "teams" or "sides" with the companys. Everyone likes old muscle cars.

I agree too. I just personally like old mustangs better. :D Us younger guys think of them as all being cool but back in my dad's day those cars were a dime a dozen. I think a lot of the old timers still have the rivalry thing even with old muscle cars.

Shit guy, thats where the rivalry started. Why would it stop? And who the hell you calling old? When you say you like old mustangs are you talking about the foxes or "old" stangs?

Damn guys,I'm only 42. But when I was 16 the old muscle cars ruled the streets. There hadn't been a good looking mustang for 8 years. But lots of the late 60's stangs where running around. The cameros where a joke. 68' SS396 Chevelles was selling for $1800 and where built. I had a 69' Road Runner in 1984 I paid $900 for and it was a 383,4-speed car.I should see if I can find some pics of those old cars. I know I took some. But after all,I really I'm an old fart. I bet I can't remember where I put them.

lol... naw dude I'm talking about like the real classics. I'm 30 so a lot of these guys think i'm old too! hehehe... I just mean my dad who's now 63 owned a 69 mach 1 390 back when you could walk in and order one just like you liked it and in a couple of weeks pick it up and drive it home. Man wouldn't that have been a cool time to live?! I do think it's funny when I see teenagers poke fun at my dad for having a 01 GT now. He's owned more cars in his life than most of them have ever sat in. Who says just cause you're and old dude like Storms that you still cant have nice cars. :poke: lol.. It's funny how we grow older physically but our minds say we're still 16.

It's crazy how much those cars are worth now aint it?! Ten years ago a car that's 20 grand now was maybe 10 grand. Wish I could see a pic of that old road runner. Too bad their probably all in black and white. lol j/k :kekekegay: My dad said they were bad arse cars back in the day. He almost bought the same car you had over his mustang.

Heres a pic of the 340 Dart I had in 82' I was 17 and in 11th grade. Seems like a life time ago. I've also owned a 66' Impala SS 327/300hp 4-speed,and a 69' RS camero 350 auto.

StormsGT 07-28-2007 06:37 PM

I got off work Tuesday and I'm going to head to KY and see if I can make a deal. He has it marked sale pending on his site. There is a few things that I think it needs. The Storm touch, you could say.

LOOT 07-28-2007 11:03 PM

Hey those are cool pics man. In 82 I was in kindergarten. I have a brother who's 14 yrs older than me. I remember he had an old Mustang Grande. I know that's far from your cars but I sure loved when he'd pick me up from school in it. Good luck on the car deal. Hope it goes well for you.

Dads always have the best storys of cars. Mine would tell me when they would get tired of one they would just swap with all of their friends. I instantly said well ya'll didn't put the time and money in them like we do today. Needless to say he called BS. I couldn't imagine just saying here lets swap for a while with any of my friends. For my first car we rebuilt this 69 mach1 and the last thing he told me before he give me the keys to the final project was "Don't let anybody drive it or ever sell it". Pretty sure I never will, in my mind it already belongs to my son who is 15 months old.

WOW I couldn't imagine trading cars like that either. lol.. So you still have the 69 Mach 1 now? That is awesome! Can you imagine what they will be going for by the time your son is able to drive? By that time our mustangs will be like the old Fox bodies are now. This is my dad with his mach 1. This wasn't rare or anything when this pic was taken though. lol...
