OK DANO!!!!! Here are some new Pics!!!!!!!

I ditched the Carbon Fiber Tail Lights. Just couldnt hang with em.

New additions....
SS Bumper Inserts
Aluminum Side Scoop Grills
Aluminum Hood Scoop Grills
Billit Fuel Door
Mach 1 Grill Delete
Decals on the Rear Tail Lights
"American" 3rd Brake Light.

All this stuff was pretty cheap. Aside from removal of the stripes so i can have silver ones painted on, all i plan on putting on it is a mach 1 chin spoiler then im done appearance-wise, except maybe black rims down the road.

Side notes:

SS Bumper Inserts, If you want silver inserts for you stang's bumper, get the steel ones. it is THE ONLY way to go. They are slightly raised out of the bumper and look very substancial and sick.

Aluminum Side/Hood scoop Grills, I totally dig these. The old black plastic grills were actually a lighter color than the mustang's paint, and they just looked cheap. I think the black stock ones are fine for most colors, but not black. These ran about 70 bucks for all 3, they are simple to install, and look pretty damn good in my opinion

The old carbon fiber tail light are out, if anyone wants em lemme know, ill ship em to you. They are the same ones here on MT. They are a real bitch to install if you have the mach 1000 sound system. I just finally decided i diddnt like them. I found some decals to blacken up the taillights a biot and im totally stoked on them. The vinyl stickers stretched when pulling off the wax backing, so you kinda have to work with them to get em to fit right, and even then i had to make a few cuts with a razor to line it all up.

Ive been hookin up the appearance mods cause it doesent cost a lot to make yer stang really stang out from the crowd and keep it looking relativly stock. Im still waiting on the chin spoiler, and aside from the removal of the stock stripes and the PAINTING of the new silver stripes running from lip to ass, im done with the appearance. Now it is time to start sinking some bucks into a Plentum, throttle body, and diablosport tuner. And whatever else i would need to hang with an 05 GT.

Yah, i got that AMERICAN decal from Bob White Decals. He did a great job, in fact, he sent me 2 of them, which is good cause i screwed the first one up!

Thanks for the words Dano. Gotta ask tho, what is car domain?

Jack The Ripper 05-19-2005 01:59 PM

Dano,
Nevermind, just saw it. Thanks dude!

dannyb785 05-19-2005 02:05 PM

lol yeah...I made a thread about it

venom 05-19-2005 03:24 PM

Looking sharp, how does the hood and scoop inserts stay in place.

Jack The Ripper 05-19-2005 03:29 PM

thanks Venom.
They just screw in. That is the one thing about them in mot happy with, they use a screw on the top and bottom of the side scopps and either side on the hood scoop. The screws are self tapping and just cover the existing grills and screw into em.

Maybe later down the road i might actually find replacement grills, then again, maybe i will just get a functional hood <grin>

hahaha
i said screw

venom 05-19-2005 03:30 PM

I would use some 3m double sided tape as it can be stolen to easy.

Jack The Ripper 05-19-2005 03:32 PM

the problem with that is those grills really are grills with thousands of holes in em. Imagine how many bugs i would catch with that 3mm tape exposed through the holes. <laugh>
High Performance Fly Paper. <snicker>

venom 05-19-2005 03:54 PM

Oh yeah, forgot its not one solid piece.

Lances03SVT 05-19-2005 05:22 PM

Hey go to ccmustang.com, they have replacement grills that are very nice.

Lances03SVT 05-19-2005 05:23 PM

Mustangtuning should try and get them in stock

Badfish 05-29-2005 09:02 PM

hey slappy...hows the reception on that 8 inch up there in denver? im getting the same and i was just wondering

swervo 05-30-2005 05:58 AM

Stang looks nice. I like the 3rd brake light, was thinking about buying one that says something. Only thing I didnt like were the taillights, I would just tint them personally :evil6: Otherwise, I think you have a nice stang.

Jack The Ripper 05-30-2005 01:28 PM

Reception is just fine, i really diddnt notice any drop in reception at all. i guess if you live in a more rural area it might suffer, but as far as i can tell the receptoin is just the same... and it doesent look like an RC car anymore. <grin>

Yah, the law is kinda sticky in denver for tail light tinting, i would like to have been able to black them out, but thats a no go here. and with my luck with jonny law, i'd get tickets daily.

better than the altezza's i had on there. <grin> I wanted to do somethign though, i just dont like all that red. Currently the outlines are just decals, i might actually pull them off and have the tail lights painted to look like they do now, i kinda like em myself... though i doubt they would work on any other color.

Badfish 05-30-2005 03:46 PM

I wonder what they think about tailight tinting in colorado springs...my freind has had them on his jeep for almost 3 months...so i doubt it..if they do, then i guess ill find out :D

it is illegal in denver, but they normally wont pull you over for something like that, instead they will give you a bigger ticket if they catch you doing something else

im not gonna risk it though, ever since i got rid of my mufflers cops seem to be jumping in line to pull me over, and im down to 3 points. LOL
