This is a quick idle video i threw together.
http://videos.streetfire.net/video/f...d300f31f2d.htm

theres a whole laundry list of things done to the car with more in the works.

whitethunder46 02-13-2007 01:49 PM

Are those 17's in the front and 18's in the back?
something about them wheels just don't make it look right.
Maybe add some nice tire shine and would make it look a lot better.

So where's the list of mods done?

00blkstanggt 02-13-2007 02:00 PM

I was thinking the same thing. The car is definitely clean looking, but for some reason thoughs wheels just don't look right. The rest of the car looks good though.

ClemsonStang 02-13-2007 02:02 PM

yes the wheels are mixed and matched.

17x9s in the front with 245/45 tires. they were free used tires from a buddy, in a few months i will step down to 245/35 tires and drop the front a hair more.

the rears at 18x10's with 275/30's. ill cut a half coil out of the rear when i do the front tires and drop, then get it realigned. the rear does sit too high.

the GT badge is from the previous owner, they will all be coming off soon.

the car had some mods on it when i bought it, but heres where it stands now:

Motor:
Had a typhoon intake on it till i did all the work, turns out it was broken and jb welded then i broke it again, thats on the list of things to take care of.
mass air converted
1.6 roller rockers
F303 cam (way to big for my combo... but it sounds good :D)
Mac shorties
Mac o/r H
Flowmasters
Tremmec 3550
Ram HD clutch
Pro 5.0 Short shifter
3.73 gears

Front Set up:
UPR chromoly tubular Kmember
UPR chromoly Aarms
UPR coil over kit
UPR CC plates
SN95 spindles
99+ GT brakes

Rear:
ranger axles and drums
3.73 gears.
FMS kevlar clutch disk
new bearings
boxed upper and lower control arms

To Do list:
already have gauges and pillar pod to go in it
gotta put a master cylinder on it this weekend (93 cobra with MM 3-2)
gotta figure out why its falling on its face at about 3200 rpms, have some parts to work on that diagnosis.

future plans are a ton, for spring ide like to do torque boxes and subframes.

r3dn3ck 02-13-2007 02:16 PM

looks hella good to me. I don't have any complaints. pimp dat shizzle.

madmatt 02-14-2007 12:08 PM

NICE! Great work so far.

yellowstang99 02-14-2007 05:38 PM

I think its that the tire on the rear is too skinny. I'm not feeling the deep dish on the rear for some reason. I think it would look better 17x9 all around with a fatter tire on the rear. I do like the car though, very clean!

ClemsonStang 02-14-2007 05:50 PM

i would agree with you. but with some lower aspect ratio front tires and the rear lowered, it will look more balanced.

with all the stuff i did money got really tight, and the fronts are from a friend and the rears are cheap ebay tires. to make sure it would all clear and if i killed a tire it was no huge loss.

B-rett 02-14-2007 06:00 PM

gettin a smaller sidewall on those front tires will do it wonders i think......right now it looks like the ricers front wheel drive slicks when you go to the track lol

I agree, go small sidewall all the way around or thick, either way just get it consistent. Lowering will def. help too. Then get to work on then quarter moldings :)

silverstang04 02-14-2007 10:08 PM

Nice fox!

Pilks 02-15-2007 01:47 PM

yeah i agree somethin about the rims n tires but the fox looks good

spike_africa 02-15-2007 02:30 PM

looks really nice i like it alot. Only thing on the outside minus the tire setup is the headlights which need to be swapped out for new ones or something. Really clean though, nice car.

ClemsonStang 02-15-2007 06:16 PM

im working on the headlight thing, but for $100 thats almost a pair of maximum motorsports XL subframes...

right now im for function over form, but itll get cleaned up as time goes on.

White04GT 02-15-2007 06:58 PM

Clean ass fox. Maybe new headlights.

whitethunder46 02-15-2007 08:12 PM

Do the headlights have a smooth plastic or is it riveted on the outside? From the pics, it just looks like heavy oxidation on the outside.

Pick up a bottle of Meguiar's PlastX and a terry applicator pad. Rub the crap out of the headlights. Machine polishing would certaintly be better, but doing it by hand will help some. Good luck!

Stan 02-15-2007 08:17 PM

very nice
