Need opinions...big pics

Had my H&R Sport Springs and MM C/C plates installed yesterday. The front of the car just doesn't look right to me. Maybe the front will settle a little bit more. The back of the car looks great. So, either I f'd up when I bought the 255/45 R17 KDW NTs, or I need to get different front springs or do a coil-over conversion. Let me know what ya'll think, even if you think I'm just being a little to critical.

Sorry for the crappy pics, hopefully if its nice this weekend, I'll be able to take some better ones

Hard to tell at night. Hopefully it'll settle more.

AHHHHHHHH I cant look at those clear corner's with the ambur bulbs! lol, get the chrome plated turn signal bulbs, PLEASE

Jack The Ripper 11-16-2006 06:28 PM

it will settle. it took about 2 weeks for my springs to settle.

02gtpit 11-16-2006 06:32 PM

Same thing happened to me. Hopefully yours will settle to your liking. I waited about a year for mine to settle before selling my front H&R Sports and replacing them with the Super Sports. That did the trick for me. Hated that speed boat look!

hehe, got the bulbs already, was going to put them in this weekend.

well...the coils could be placed in the wrong direction which would give it that stance...did you install them? anyway...they coils on the bottom are supposed to be in a special way

CCM 11-16-2006 06:36 PM

Give them a chance to settle, you could also try taking the isolators off the springs. To be honest, I think it's just the change that's throwing you off though. When I first put H&R SS's on my car after having it be the stock height, I hated it at first because it just didn't look "right" to me. But now I love it.

I did the springs on my GT, took three days, alot of beer, and a minor ER incident, so this time around, I opted to let a shop here in town do the install.

That sucks dude, I did mine in a little over 2.5 hrs. What color are your springs, light blue, dark blue? if they are indeed the sports and not the supersports the front will seem to be a little higher than the back from what I have seen. (like lance's old car)

dookie2365 11-16-2006 09:03 PM

just gota say sick car. i love yellow and i love the mach.

Thanks, best car I ever bought.

SpinMedia 11-16-2006 09:44 PM

the back looks right but that front does seem a bit high, I had the same springs with 17s all around and i didn't have a gap that big. Like everyone said, make sure the springs were installed facing the right way. that last coil has to face inward. Id take the isolators off too.

yellowstang99 11-16-2006 10:09 PM

The front does look a bit high, I would check to see if the springs are seated correctly and according to how H&R says they should be.

GREG@SN95 11-16-2006 10:30 PM

ok heres what ya gots ta do!

now... reckin ya gotta get a matress out yer bedroom...

place matress on hood... call out the kidlins and tell em that they can jump on the bed...

reckin that'd work mighty fine good sir

SnTBakosFinest 11-17-2006 06:31 AM

Lmao.

Greg you aren't southern damnit. =p

But anyways, like everyone else said, see if the springs settle, and also check if they are on correctly.. remember, shops do screw up..

My friend had a problem with this on his Mach when he had his springs installed, except he's a bonehead, and just said "thats the way its susposed to be" ....i then had to break it to him that he didn't know how to shift... =x

Love the car, front def doesn't look right. Is it me or does your front fender look to be a slightly different color? Is it the lighting?

White04GT 11-17-2006 10:18 AM

It's either you or the lighting. Looks fine to me.

Its the lighting, I had my GT parked in front so I could use the headlights and also had the car port light on, just kinda funky looking.

machnjo 11-17-2006 06:11 PM

I'll be able to check the springs tomorrow when there's daylight, I've been getting home from work to late in the evening. I'm also off for the next 3 weeks, so hopefully if something is wrong, I'll be able to fix it.

:Woot:

swervo 11-17-2006 06:55 PM

Just give it a week or two to settle then if you dont like it, take out the isolator.

Yeah, we had a good time, not one of us had ever done a spring install. Even though it took a whole weekend, we still got it done.
