Obviously, the chrome isn't going to stand out this much. Just a quick one to give you an idea.

I think they would look pretty nice, from what i've seen though you will have to watch out for rust because of the rivets. Also, I hope you're not thinking about DD on all 4...

What do you mean by DD?

White04GT 11-13-2006 10:49 AM

Deep Dish.

I can get either 4 17x 9 DD or 4 17 x 9/10.5. The 10.5's have a much deeper dish, but I dont really think I need 315's in the back. The other thing is , 315's are more expensive for the tires.

The 17 x 9's dont seem to have a deep enough dish to make it look funny. What do you think?

TClark22 11-13-2006 11:19 AM

booo :nono: i dont like those wheels...and 17's are too small...if ur getting new wheels just go with an 18x9 and 18x10 or 17x9 and 18x10...i know you just bought those tires for the stockers...

you could also just but a set of 18x10 anthrasite bullits to put in the rear with some 295 or 315's and it would look sweet...and that way you can keep the front rims and tires and you when the front tires wear out you have an extra set from the old rear ones...get what i sayin?

Yeah, but I really like the look of black wheels on yellow cars. I really like the DD black cobra's.

eventer289 11-13-2006 11:28 AM

Are 315's gonna cause me any problems if I use Ford Racing C springs (lower 1" to 1.25")

TClark22 11-13-2006 11:30 AM

no...and ford c springs will give u like no drop...like not enough to notice

come on man your driveway is completely flat...lower that shit

and if u want black...i say either black bullits or black fr500

and no...315's are not a prob at all

and arent you supposed to be in school?

Yeah, except I felt like shit when I woke up this morning.

I dont want more than a 1.5 inch drop cause of alignment issues. What springs do you have?

TClark22 11-13-2006 11:53 AM

H&R supersports...and no allignment issues...for me at least and an alignment only cost like 40$

Would a tire as wide 315's rub going that low?

TClark22 11-13-2006 12:22 PM

nope...many people have them on this board...but you dont need a 315...a 295 is a sure fit

what tire would you get in the 315s? not sumitomo...they are terrible

I know, but for 380 total for all 4 tires, it is kind of tempting, especially if I want springs.

TClark22 11-13-2006 12:28 PM

4 tires? i thought u were getting 17's...

they are so cheap...indeed...that is my point...not verry good in the rain department or dry traction either...your khumo's are nice...

I'm getting the wheels for xmas. I have to pay for the tires.

I love my kuhmos, but They dont make them in a 315, that I can find.

Who mounted and balanced your tires. I dont want some grease monkey F'ing up my new rims. Some people just dont give a shit.

TClark22 11-13-2006 12:58 PM

i would do the whole big tire in back thing...it just looks better.

so i think a nice 17x9 or 18x9 in front and a 18x10 in back would look sweet...wrapped in 265/35/18 or 265/40/17 in front and either a 295 or 315 in back...just the way i would do it but it isnt my car!

but i did see a yellow cobra the other day with black wheels and it looks sweet

yea...y? i have 275's on my 18x9's

wnracing 11-13-2006 01:20 PM

What I meant is... Don't put Deep dish rims on all 4 corners. Put dd's on the back, and reg. rims on the front.

IMHO Do 17/9's in the front and 18/10's in the back, that'll give you a good staggered look. Then get springs. 315's look good, but they are phat as hell.. I kinda like 295's..

I put black FR500s on my mach, 17x9 up front w/ 275/40 and 18x10 in back w/ 295/35. Here's some pics to give an idea of what yours would look like:

The 295/35s are plenty big -

Satuday, I switched the front tires to 255/45 R17 BFG KDW NTs but don't have any pics of them yet, hopefully after I get the springs on Wednesday, I'll be able to post them.
