My new rear

Since someone posted up for people to post rear shots..I didn't want to hijack his thread so I thought I would get your opinions here. I love my taillight tint and that is why I had the black in the middle painted to begin with...but so many people would nearly rearend me since I don't have a 3rd brake light. I took just the ends of the taillight tint off so they could see a little something. I thought it looked kinda goofy at first, but I have gotten used to it. As we all know I wanted my rear end to look different than every other Mustang on the road so this was just another something I tried.

i like it! hmm i might even do that. post more pics, different angles n what not

Ghostalker 08-25-2006 01:45 PM

that looks BANGIN dude... I love it... I couldnt pull the look off though with my color =/

looks really ... refreshing

so.. you shaved your 3rd brake light... did you replace it with anything? like one in the rear window?

Rabbit 08-25-2006 01:48 PM

I actually have been thinking about doing the same thing (since I have been pulled over before). But I didn't know how it would look. Looks damn good, I may go ahead and do it!

BTW: Since we both got our tints from the same place, were your outside lense (the ones that you uncovered) beginning to dip in where the bulb is? Mine are, I think its getting too hot with the covers and starting to melt the lense!!!

Fat Lard 08-25-2006 02:12 PM

Dare I say you've started a new "trend".

madmatt 08-25-2006 02:31 PM

Thats pretty sweet man.

Mug11 08-25-2006 02:51 PM

:worship2: pretty sweet, but another trend has definatly been started.

+1 for orgin

Badfish 08-25-2006 04:12 PM

theponyfactor 08-25-2006 05:14 PM

Takes a little getting used to at first, but I like it!

Ghostalker 08-25-2006 05:15 PM

Yeah, ut I think it will only work on lighter colored cars... white, yellow, silver... azure blue lol

lol that terrible photoshop just made me point and laugh at your car. it looks like construction paper or something. But yeah, i dunno man.

Donny, Your car would look so badass with black bullitts... do a photoshop so you know what i mean.

Ha I thought the same thing...

Badfish 08-25-2006 05:43 PM

yeah it would be nearly impossible to replicate how the light looks underneath using photoshop...

the only way i could do it is to take it off...or PS another car w/o black tails, and chop the black part in

zigzaggthefag321 08-25-2006 05:48 PM

Jon, I think it would look good with the part you made red, blacked out and the rest of the tail light red...basically the opposite of what you did. but having a rear blackout panel would make it look better with that combo.

ShapeShifter 08-25-2006 06:15 PM

sorry,not diggin it

CCM 08-25-2006 09:07 PM

Badfish, your photoshop was what I was gonna suggest. The only reason it wouldn't look good on Slither's car is because of his blacked-out mid section.

Slither 08-25-2006 11:20 PM

Thanks guys. I was kinda thinking nobody was gonna like it. Badfish...I had actually thought of taking just the middle part off but I thought I would like it better with the ends off. And I agree with CCM...It would look goofy on mine if I took the inside piece off with my middle painted black. I will clean it up this weekend and get some new pics for you guys of different angles. Glad I could be a new trend setter :boink:

Yeah I know..I wish I had black wheels on it :Woot: I paid more for the polished and feel kinda stuck with em unless anyone on the boards wants to trade me. Wink wink.

Lances03SVT 08-26-2006 05:43 AM

Look's good Donnie. That's the reason I don't tint my 3rd brake light,I want people to see me stop.

GREG@SN95 08-26-2006 10:59 AM

it looks like a damn catty to me...

+1, and that's the only thing that "technically" keeps the tints legal (at least in GA).
