Here are some pics of my ride.

If you want to see installed carbon tail lights and the 8in attena, here ya go.

I expect to get some crap from the tail lights, i dont think they look too ricey though. I juts really dont like the massive red stock tail lights. I tried to find something a little less BOLD and not too ricey.

Thanks to scott from Vector Imaging for the custom 281 badges, he did a rockin job on these. The pics are not the bes,t i had to use my roomates camera and it kinda sucked, ill try to get some better pics in some better light.

Future plans?
I want either silver or yellow 8in rally stripes from the lip to butt. Also i want some black 10.5 deepdish rims on the back and some black rims on the front, all GT style like they got here on MT.
I also want to lower it an inch

Any comments? Kudos? Insults? Im open for anything.

PEACE!

nice car , but yeah your right, the tail lights are how can i say, wow, no words to describe, but yeah the car looks good.

Jack The Ripper 04-09-2005 01:55 PM

Well thanks i think. <laugh>

Hey, maybe i should install a massive fart can, lower it 3 inches, get the Demon body kit, lamo doors, a huge stainless steel spoiler that stands 7 inches above the roof of the car, and get samarai sillouettes painted all over it. <laugh> Then pay a buncha buttless 50lb asian girls to lay all over it and eat bowls of rice while i take pics.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Then again, maybe not. <rofl>

That is the problem with tail lights, it is hard to find after market ones and replace them without it looking ricey. My problem is i hated the stock tail lights. I would love some blackouts but thats illegal in this state.

Its work in progress, those tail lights will remain untill i find something i like better. <g>

dont like the tails but rest looks good

BeatTheBrat94 04-11-2005 12:38 AM

The ride looks nice. IMO, the tail lights would probably look best with a stock spoiler...Don't know, cause you're the first person I've seen to have them. All I gotta say is I'm jealous...I wanna black GT now.

stock tails are better. Especially if you put a mild tint on them.
The 40th anniversary package is hot. Dont put any holes in your trunk with a spoiler, you'll regret it. See if you can get some matching gold inserts.

Samsstang 04-11-2005 01:50 PM

Nice ride.

Im not a big fan of spoilers, so im pretty stoked it diddnt have one. Spoilers just dont say "musle car" in my opinion, most of the oldschool muscles diddnt have em.

Im thinking of having my taillights tinted, i gotta check with the state laws on it, i think they are illegal here, so it would have to be pretty mild.

My direction with it is to keep with the oldschool. I got a sweet pic of a BOSS 429 on my desk, Im using it for inspiration. Yeah i know, the tail lights dont follow that. <laugh> Well, that is where the 281 came from.
I got some better photo's that i will post.

Yah the black looks sweet, but it is VERY hard to maintain.

This weekend im gonna go buy a used honda civic to keep the commuting miles off the stang and im gonna keep it garaged during bad weather, hopefully i can keep that nice black finish.

people at work give me crap cause so far they have never seen even a speck of dirt on it. <g>

i dig the 40th package, but man, i really want stripes going from chin to butt. all the places i have checked will not match the arizona beige stripes. i guess that color is trademarked for thier 40th package.

Iam not sure about the comment of "Muscle cars not having spoilers" is true? I had a couple in my days with factory spoilers! but your car looks sweet without it anyways, the taillights definetly aint from the musclecar era but again I like it  It just goes good with the Black! Sweet car regardless, just go with what your Happy with! thats what makes it different.

98silvergt 04-14-2005 08:32 PM

no thanks to the carbon altezzas

I definatly get a lot of mixed reactions to them.

I like them better than the massive red stock lights... im looking into getting my stock ones tinted, see how much i can do with them before they are no longer street legal.

The crappy thing is most of the aftermarket taillights look all ricy. Why can't somone step in and make some sweet ones? i just dont like all that red on my stangs ass. makes it look like a babboon in heat. :tongue6:

Yeah, there were some out with spoilers, but there were a lot more without. Kinda like 4 door muscle cars.... there were some, but not a lot...
The tail light issue is driving me nuts. I dunno. im gonna figure something to do. I would like them better if the clear shield diddnt collect so much light. I oughtta try tinting my old stock ones and see how that works. i think it is illegal here, so i cant do em blackout style

dannyb785 04-14-2005 08:54 PM

I'm surprised noone has mentioned/seen these yet, but theyre the only aftermarket lights i'd ever consider. The brake lights are longer, not round so it doesnt look at ricey. what do you guys think?

Those aint bad.
Ive seen some like them, but they had silver insides.

dannyb785 04-14-2005 09:00 PM

yeah, i saw the silvers too, but theyre way too ricey. Keepin it dark strays from the rice, so you did pretty good, but I'd check out the ones I showed u if you have the spare money. I think theyd look nice with your body color.

98silvergt 04-14-2005 10:03 PM

Those tails u just posted look good for aftermarket tails. Looks like oem ones with tint

98silvergt 04-14-2005 10:04 PM

btw slappy dont get me wrong i like your car. Just not my first choice on tail light modification. Keepitup keep us posted

BeatTheBrat94 04-14-2005 10:35 PM

sort of getting off track, but not really... How do you go about getting blacked out tail lights? I'm looking into selling my car or trading it in for 2002 Black GT... ::drools:: so sexy.... :-D
