Actually, it was supposed to be a Mini Stock 4cyl car for oval track racing but I am thinking of changing it to a SCCA or NASA Road Course car.

Does it say "no key" on the windshield?

Autocross? No drag car?

shad0ws 05-25-2006 09:00 PM

Haha, when I opened this I expected to see pictures of the LCA's...

I think it's a wise choice for making that an autoX car, definitely alot of fun...

02LaserRedGT 05-25-2006 10:36 PM

Daily driver? :)

mcmmotorsports 05-26-2006 03:31 AM

No, this is not a Daily Driver (no title), it is not a Drag Car (Drag racing doesn't excite me), this will be my new race car. Not sure if it will be built for oval track or road course yet, but I am 90% sure it will be an SCCA or NASA Road Course car. I think I have had enuf oval track stuff and the road course stuff seems like a lot of fun. Not to mention, I can tow this thing to any auto cross event and have a blast without worrying about beating on Barney (Sonic Blue Stang's name that wife gave it)

AMERICAN IRON...DO IT DO IT

You could always do both you know right? Oval AND road course? LOL but id MUCH prefer a road course race to an oval track...

I am actually reading the NASA American Iron/Camaro-Mustang Challenge rules as we speak. Also checking out the SCCA American Sedan Rules. A lot less work in building one of those cars than an oval track car.

road racing is definitely the way to go! i used to take my car out to events before i bought my drag radials. if there were more events around here i would take em off and start going to road race events more often. my buddy used to race on the oval track down here for a while and it looked cool but no where near as fun as road courses...

01GTBlown 05-26-2006 10:45 AM

todd03blown 05-26-2006 11:32 AM

nice Mike...happy for you bro!! This will be a fun project to watch and see how it progesses!!

mcmmotorsports 05-26-2006 01:31 PM

What kinda sux is that I was all ready to go out to the shop this coming week and start guttin' and cuttin'. Good thing I didn't. Both NASA American Iron and Camaro Mustang Challenge rules AND SCCA American Sedan rules require a HECK of alot more of a Stock Car than "Stock Car" racing does. Go figa. http://www.mcmmotorsports.com/smilies/shrug.gif
Car should be a snap to build, cheap too. http://www.mcmmotorsports.com/smilies/woot.gif
