Ok, so as I told most of you guys my parents are very likely getting me the 18" chrome Fr500s as a graduation present. I had a guy from another web site photo shop my car for me and put the fr500s on, and man i like the way it looks!!! What do you guys think?? Should I go for the chrome?? The first pic is of my car as it is right now, the second pic is with the anthracite fr500s on it, and the third pic is with the chrome fr500s on it and the stang dropped, as I will hopefully get it dropped in a month or so. Tell me what you guys think!!

I'd go chrome, I remember someone on this site had some chrome fr500's I think it was mineralGT or something, anyway it looked sick.

ooh, i am graduating this year, and you know what i get? to go to college, lol. I also get a free laptop, which will be sweet, although i am thinking about holding off till soph year for it ( so as to get a newer one), given it isnt required for freshy year where i am going.

I think anthracite would look great as I stated above. Mineral Grey seems to match anthracite the best.

Chrome is a SOB to keep clean and shiney.

does anyone have pics of a mineral grey stang with the anthracite rims so i could see what it would really look like?

Definetly go for the chrome...you won't believe how many people compliment me on them...they are kind of a pain in the ass to clean but well worth it...

Chrome really isnt that bad to keep clean. I clean mine everytime i wash my car... simple. I wouldnt imagine the FR500's are that much more difficult to clean that it would keep someone from buying them. Afterall, whats better than a feeling of accomplishment complimented by the shine of chrome? Damn clean chrome rims look good at night...

Im thinking that I am going with the chrome. Those pics of Mineral GT's car are sick!! I know it may suck to clean them, but i clean my car once a week and will just clean them then. I already have the powerball drill bit thing so it shouldn't take too long to clean em. Now i just gotta find a site that has em.. MT I believe has the regular 18" chrome fr500s, but not the DD..

Wow those chrome fr500s make the stang look sooo much better. Is it really sooo hard to clean those chrome rims??? I mean I would think it would be worth it. I also like the original Ford Racing centercaps. I was going to do the exact same thing!

One noobish question though.... How do I know for sure that my current tires will fit the 18" rims... Or do these rims fit most tires??

you will need 18 inch tires for 18 inch rims, you're in luck, mustang tuning has 18 inch tires, and you have the 5% discount code

Those tires are horrible. Anyone is better off spending 100 more bucks and get yourself something 100x better.

Damn I may have to go with the 17" rims instead seeing my tires are only a couple of months old. Is there really that big of a difference between the 17" rims and the 18" rims?

actually i have HTRZ II fronts and Lance has them all the way around, they are decent tires, and for the price you cant beat them...and 100 bucks more? try 2-400 more

17 are better for racing, 18's look better IMO, r u sure MTing doesn't have the DD chrome rears in 18''? My tires ended up costing me 100 dollars more then my rims...but it's def. worth it IMO, I get complements all the time...

According to their website, they do have the DD 18", but not the regular chrome 18". The thing that sucks though is that it says they are out of stock for both the regular 17" Chrome Fr500s and the DD.

The decision I now have to make is whether I want to wait till I need new tires and then get the 18" rims, or get the 17" rims NOW from ANOTHER website that has them in stock and offers them for cheaper (OH MY!) I would rather get the 18" rims, but I just got my 17" tires a couple of months ago and I would have to wait till they get worn and buy 18" tires, then the rims. Decions, Decions, Decions....

Anyone want 4 17" Goodyear Eagle ZR tires??? Just a couple of months old and in good condition :) :) Would be willing to sell them cheap..
