shaker 1000

Hi, been viewing the site for quite some time now, just got an 05 mustang convertable with only 5800 miles. Was wondering Randy if I could purchase the shaker 1000 system?

It's going to be $$.. You'd be better off going aftermarket..

yeah i realize that, i mean i have the 500 now, if i went aftermarket i would go for the pioneer avic-d3 becasue i get it for 650 becasue i work at best buy, and nothing single din looks good. I could always buy the parts off of ebay for the 1000 right?

Yeah, the best way to do it is to find someone who had the 1000 and upgraded it to an aftermarket setup.. Pretty sure the 1000 setup new will cost you a couple grand or close to it.

as stated above, go aftermarket as Ford is $$$$

Why don't you just keep the stock head unit and upgrade the speakers and add an amp? We did this in my fiance's '05 and it works fine.. Only complaint is that sometimes her head unit doesn't like to play burnt CD's..

yeah, i guess thats the best option. It's just cool to tell people, "Oh yeah, I have a factory stereo with 2 10's in the trunk".
