Help finding a part?

I have a 1999 Mustang GT 35th Anniversary Edition and took it to the shop the other day cause it had been acting up and they told me that my transmission is gonna be goin out soon. I know some things and parts were limited to that yr and the anniversary edition. So I was wondering what kind of transmission should be trying to get for it now and how much you might think that would run me. I tried lookin around on the net to see if I could locate any info to help me but nothing. Then I stumbled across this board and thought I could get some quick help. an info will help.

thanks alot

nothing special about the transmission(s) in a 1999 Mustang Gt, but is it and automatic or manual?

if its gonna go...spend the extra money to get a 5 speed outta the same year or get the 3650 outta the mid 2001+ mustangs...or even get the t-56 outta the 03/04 cobra's

but if u dont have the money just get a stock replacement

well any 1999 to 2000 V8 Mustang trans will bolt right up, a rebuilt one from Ford is @$1500.00 and would carry a 3yr/36k warranty. first I would get a second opion from a Ford dealer, I believe that would be your best bet or if funds are tight, get one outta' a "bone yard"

would that 1500 be just the tran. alone or would that be with labor and all them other stips
