timing chain tentioner

I have an 04 gt and it is making a ticking noise that i can hear best on the timing cover. Im pretty sure the driverside tensioner has gone bad causeing slack and the tick. I am wondering what the cost is for the part and what the part number is. Thanks

what weight oil are you using?

tensioner part # is 1L3Z-6L266-AA and price is @$32.00 + shipping and we have plenty in stock. now we have seen problems wth the nylon tensioners and if your going to get into it, you might want to switch both over to the older "steel" trensioners. @$45.00 each, they are stronger

I'm using 5w 30.

the car sat for 8 months because i am in Iraq. When i came home for 2 weeks i was burning oil pretty because of a bad valve seal in cly 8. That burned oil very fast and im not sure if the pressure dropped (cause stock gauge is for looks) but i think that caused it to go bad.

What do valve seals cost? I have to do that to when i get home cause Ford is real big on the warrenty part.

@$59.00 for a set of 16 valve seals
