Superbowl

Wow, I'm surprised to not see one of these threads yet. Anyways, I wanted Colts to win. But oh well. I'm a 49ers fan anyways. I just hate how everyones riding the Saints nuts now thinking they've actually been a fan all these years. Congrats to them, but I hope that the people of New Orleans don't actually think their city is going to be magically fixed because the Saints won the superbowl.

no one cares...thats why no thread was made about it. Must be the teams...I dunno... Im not a fan of either team, well, or any team for that matter. I watched the game tho...and for a football game, it was decent. nice back and forth...close score most of the time.

The onside kick the saints did was cool, ya dont see that much...or really hardly ever in a superbowl game.

NewMustangMan 02-08-2010 08:44 AM

Yeah I dont care for either team. I am a Panthers fan so I dont like the saints (In my Division) but I was going for them because I dont like the colts more. I agree Zig the onside kick was cool. The only part that sucked was that the player it hit was Hank Basket who play for the UNM Lobos which is where I went to college.... felt bad for him but oh well

yeah I am with Zig not a die hard football fanatic with all year round sitting every sunday/monday to watch football but I think last night was really good and glad the Saints won. I think it was the 1st time that New Orleans pulled that off for a SuperBowl Win!

WNRacing 02-08-2010 09:11 AM

I honestly hate football, but the superbowl was pretty good last night. It was nice to see the Colts get beat simply because you can tell that their entire team is full of a bunch of ignorant idiots that take cheap shots and get away with it. I have never seen any football team throw so many elbows, jabs and just play like all round jackasses as I saw last night. A couple of times they were just flat out piledriving guys on the Saints and the officials weren't doing anything about it.

Goot Job Saints!

I think it their first time even going to the Super Bowl.

I was hoping the saints would win but i didn't really care. I was almost kind of bummed at that interception, if that didn't happen and the colts scored, that would have been a hell of football game.

That is correct.

I would have to disagree with you. I'm not sure what game you were watching. I saw Saints guys pushing players once the whistles were called and Colts guys pushing back. Colts are a very respectable team.

Both teams were playing hard and rough...I like the close up of Shockey gettin blasted from 2 different defenders. Then there was another play in the 4th quarter where a Saints player speared a downed Colts receiver. Both teams were out for a win and to hurt people. I dont watch much football but the saints had no rushing game at all but they were all over the short passes. That consistency paid off and led them to a win...I will add the gut shot onside kick made the 2nd half interesting.

i was all for the colts, simply cause i got sick and tired of people saying the saints were the underdogs cause of katrina and shit. diddnt they train in california?

furthermore, anyone with an NFL contract is in no way shape or form an "underdog" those guys have cars nicer than my house.

stanger00 02-08-2010 05:18 PM

The talk could go both ways...What about all the announcers swinging on Peytons ball sack...GREATEST QUARTER BACK OF ALL TIME, WTF..Then they back peddle and say ONE of the best quarter backs of all time...He needs a few more rings to be apart of that elite club.

Far as I know the Saints trained and played out of Florida.

Yeah I don't understand how people could say that. How can a team be an underdog when they started the season 13-0 and was the number one team in the NFC?

Announcers and sports writers always have to bitch about something when a great player comes along. They called Peyton another Marino until he finally won a superbowl. Now his "legacy" can't be secured until he proves himself more in the post season. Come on, the guy will be in the Hall of Fame and probably have every passing record when he is done. Has a superbowl ring, 4 MVP awards. Saw this interesting stat, Manning has been in the league a year longer than Brady and he has 20,000 more passing yards than Brady. 10 out of his 12 seasons he has thrown for over 4,000 yards.

CRAZYSHANK 02-19-2010 09:14 AM

The Saints didn't deserve to win....and for the millionth time, we don't need to be reminded that New Orleans was hit by Katrina and all that stuff along w/ it
