Newbie needing advice
My name is Daniel and i drive a Red '96 V6 Mustang(standard). In the up coming week i'll be getting a 4.6 Cobra Engine installed in my car. If any one has any tips, suggestions, i would really appreciate

I am doing the same but with a 98 Gt. The Cobra block with have all new internals,ready for boost. I am having a shop do the work .

Dont put any GT badges, or cobra badges on it. put some real quiet mufflers. all your friends who thing you still have a 6 will be scared when they see you on the highway, lol.

Any ricer with a fart pipe isn't going to even be able to hear your car if you keep it quiet. All they'll see is your taillights. |
yeah, exactly. they have to know what to listen for to identify whats in your car. like you can tell a chevy from a ford when you hear racing in the distance...at least i can. but you can also buy some exhaust cut outs. put some quiet mufflers and then if you want the loudness, loosen a couple screws (while the pipes are cold) and you will have open exhaust. theres some cutouts i have seen that will switch to open electrically. would be a nice little surprise to do to someone at the line. I might do that with my stang.

youll want to switch over to an 8.8 rear end so you dont have a one wheel wonder machine. Plus, it will be stronger.
