Brakes...which kit?

Well, I am gonna get the Bullitt front brake kit and prolly the rear as well.

Do I buy the stock Bullitt kit for about $450 that includes painted calipers, flat rotors, pads, and brake lines?

Or, get the Bullitt calipers, with FRPP slotted and drill rotors, brake lines for about $500 ish?

So basically, the question is, slotted and drilled vs plain.

One more thing, if I get the first kit, I can leave my rear stock and then just upgrade later. If I go with the slotted and drilled rotors, I will need to do the rears at the same time as I will feel stupid having different rotors front and back.

I love the look of the slotted and drilled but don't they have problem's with the drilled cracking?

bullitt kit with blank rotors

slotted only or dimpeled are good as well stay away from drilled.

OK...now, here is what I am also trying to understand.

If I order this kit:

I do not need anything else, right? This is a direct upgrade correct?

Its a direct replacment with everything you need minus brake fluid.

Direct replacement. The pads are PBR pads and are quite good. If you wanted increased stopping power, I would switch to a set of Hawk HPS pads. That ferro-carbon compound rocks my socks.

If you go powerslot or prostop (dimpled) they reccomend going with Hawk pads because they bed better. Why this is, I dont know, but its what Power Performance Group says.

What I want is a set of the Cryo treated rotors...ooooo god would I love those.

What is the theory behind cyro treated rotors?

Heh, thinking of cyro, high end audio enthusiasts will mhappily shell out and extra 400-500 bucks for a pair of interconnect cables (rca) that have been cyro treated. Something about the way that cold will align the structure of the metal to ensure a smoother signal transfer through the cable.
