Driving issues.

Well I seem to be having a little trouble with my baby. It seems that since I went with my new wheel/tire setup the car seems to pull at different times. Like going down the road, sometimes it will seem to pull a little to the right, then sometimes to the left. I was having a problem with the car pulling bad when I braked, but I just got new rotors/calipers/pads up front about 2 months ago.

My tire setup is 18x9 up front with 265/35/18 and 18x10 out back with 295/35/18

Is this normal because of my tire setup? I also seem to pull different ways when hitting little holes and all also. Sometimes it is fine, sometimes it is pretty bad.

Any ideas?

Sometimes the tires will want to follow wear channels in the road.Take the car to a parking lot and see if it still does this.

Happens a lot with wide tires; I've heard this normally referred to as tire "wallow".
:sad7:

You will hear of this a lot with wide tires. I do through it daily. I have 265/40/18's and it's like driving a dump truck with manual steering. The tires are simply catching the grooves in the road.... even if you can't see them, you can feel them. BUT, when it really counts and I need to drive the twisties, the car sticks like 3M.

Yea, when going around curves it handles like a dream. I guess it is normal, but damn sometimes it can get to ya. Guess that is the price you pay eh?

will the bump steer kitss help with that problem?

Your concern is common when you put wide tires on the front end. Ford had a TSB for this when they started putting 275-40-17 tires on the Cobra. You will probably get used to it after a while.

I have 285/35 18x9's on my car and I have the same reaction to the grooves in the road. I have gotten used to it, It caught me off guard as well.
