b an m hammer shifter
does anyone know bout the b an m hammer shifter for an aod transmission is it like a slap stick or what? is it worth the money?

Whats a "slapstick"?

I think the hammer is a "ratchet" shifter. The handle ratchets in the same front to back position as you shift gears. Guys typically get a reverse pattern valve body and manually shift their Autos with them

b&m ratchet shifter
Hi, I have it installed. Check it out, one of my favorite mods. This is a ratchet shifter, I'll try to explain. When you want to go into reverse you lift the lever an move into reverse, the only time you need to pull the lever is for park to reverse or neutral to reverse to park. Say you put your car in 1st, unlike the stock shifter you can shift to 2, D, N whereas on the B&M you can only go from 1 to 2, not drive or neutra, one click equals one gear. It's really cool and would highly recommend one. Where do you live, you can check it o ut if you're close

There is no need for reverse valve body, this kit will not allow the tranny to mishift as you can only shift one gear per click per time and once in neutral you MUST lift the lever to get into rerverse or park
