alright guys... 96 gt here...on my throttle body their is a inlet tube that another tube goes onto well their 2 red wires that come out of the tube one goes right one goes left and then like looks like it should go under the car (mabe toward o2 sense) i dunno but like it goes to this sylonoid type thing then reduces into a single wire that is melted or snapped i took a picture of the part on the throttle body but my camera sux real bad so i dunno if it will help or not...my car has this idleing issue and stuff like it runs a real high rpm for a while like 1500 then down to 1000 then somtimes if i rev up to like 3000 it just stays their for a min then decides to drop down when it feels like it lol...i dunno if somone can tell me what this thing is and what it does would help

I think its a part of the vaccum system on your car. maybe you can just go to ford and buy a new one.

nope, not anymore as its been discontinued. you are correct in that it is a vacuum line. if it is broken, you can go-to any parts store and just buy some rubber vacuum hose that slips over the hard nylon line, just line making a splice. |
alright i understand now what it is but the question is from the throttle body where does it go???????? it was headed like underneath the car...when i pulled on the line it just came out from underthere so wher does this vaccumn line head to eacaclty

well there should be a vacuum routing decal under the hood, somewhere near the radiator cores upport/cover. if not there, I might be able to dig something up if you have access to a fax line? |
