pi intake/heads or nitrous?
 

hi guys, i have a 1997 mustang gt, automatic. I have all of the basic bolt ons (look in my sig). I am getting a chip/dyno tune this weekend. I still want more power out of my car though. I want to do either a pi intake/head swap with a cam or nitrous? I was just wondering which one people think i will get more out of for the money? Also, which is the best cam to put with the pi heads/intake? If you think nitrous would be better, what kind of nitrous? thanks

I would do a PI swap. I'd go with some vt stage 2 cams and a good P&P for on some pi heads...you would see some very good gains.. :)

nitrous would hands down be cheaper and will make more power.

i would do a simple 100shot form any nitrous company like compucar,NX,NOS,ZEX etc....

I would do a PI swap. 40-50hp from the swap right there and its always there. Those 97 engines are bears and can definately benifit from the swap alone.

i would do the swap i have a 96 and im planning on doing the swap on mine and i dont now if you know but check out www.parkwayperformance.com they have all you need but i am gona use a VT stage 1 cam

yeah ponyexpress96 thats exactly where i was going to order the whole swap. Parkway Performance seems to have the whole swap for a reasonable price. Can someone post a site where i can actually order a comp or vt cam?? i can't find any sites to buy them...

um they have the Vt stage one on this site but they are normally out of stock

i just searched VT cam shafts and a couple of sites came up so that is ur best bet probally

can you post some sites up that sell the vt's? or even comp cams?? cuz i can't seem to find any sites that are selling them... :mad:

I am going to get a vt stage 1 cam also. Is there anything else needed to install the cam or should just buying the cam be good? let me know if anybody can think of anything else i will need to make the complete head/intake/cam install?? check the parkway performance site to see what it comes with...thanks
