I have a MAC Catback + Flowmaster Super 40's

I want to know with my current exhaust, which pipe should I get at the front? Bassani X, some type of H-pipe? Should I change the back end of my exhaust when I get a new H or X pipe?

I want my car louder than it is now, and it has the factory H pipe on it. I want to put on a catted X or H pipe, but I want it to work with the existing exhaust stuff I have (saving me money). Any suggestions? Or do I need to start over?

So you have a mac catbach with 40 series flowmasters? ...I don't get what you are trying to say...

but if you want to be loud, the mac catback with a o/r h or x will give you what you want... :)

If you want a loud exhaust while keeping the cats then just go with a bassani xpipe with the little bullet style cats then put an SLP loudmouth catback or Magnaflow Magnapacks on it.

I have an offroad X pipe with the flowmaster catback and I love the sound of it. Its pretty loud but I like it like that. I dont much care for the SLP sound because it sounds almost like you dont have any mufflers at all. But thats just my opinion. A lot of mustang guys like the sound of SLP or Magnaflow. Its just personal preference.

That Bassani X pipe will work with all your stuff you have now. You can keep the MAC/Flowmaster cat back  if you want.

Either way the x pipe will make it much louder than it is now.

Yeah

Yes, I have a Mac Catback WITH flowmaster super 40's. I changed the Mac mufflers thinking the flowmasters would give me more volume, maybe they did a little but not much. So now I am ready to get it right, just looking for advice. I don't want it earth shaking, but I do want to turn heads more than I do now.

Most of you guys are advising me to get an O/R pipe, but I want my car to pass emissions, that's why I'd prefer the "high flow" cats. I heard a guys stang with an x pipe with high flow cats and it sounded pretty damn good to me. Any of you guys with O/R pipes have to pass emissions tests? If so, what do you do?

Just get the SLP Xpipe. It has a small "bullet" style cat on it. It will flow better than a traditional cat and it is removable. You can have it on there for everyday, but then you can take it off when you go to the track. It only takes like 15 minutes to get them off. Just buy that which you can find HERE . Then Buy THESE . After the X pipe buy this CATBACK . :) Problem solved.

If you want too spend a little cash get this one with your Flows http://mrt-direct.com/mustangracing/hpipe.php probally the best H pipe around.

Well, I don't have to pass emissions tests, but I think that most people just keep their factory h-pipe and swap them out for emissions test day. They come out easily enough. I kept mine just in case I move somewhere else.
