Nut Problems
 

OK its official I am totally lost and haven't the foggiest idea in what to do. Alright i've been trying to install my prochamber for about a week now. I have this one d*** nut the passenger side bottom one. Took a breaker bar to it with the extension and a swival went through 2 of them. Took a impact wrench to it. Tried to muscle the it and still no budge. Now what the hell am I supposed to do? Is there a way to cut it off without messing up the stud? Very frusterated right now. Dustin can even back me up on this he's never seen anything like this.

Its hard to say without seeing the bolt but u might not have a choice now but to burn it off. If the bolt is too rounded that the only thing i could think off or try some gripping sockets

No its not rounded....its grippable the damn thing just wont budge....burn it off? and will that screw up the stud?

OO k i thought it was too rounded.. then dont burn it off unless you want to replace the stud also..try getting some pb buster and just keep working at it i used almost a half can and try letting it sit overnight and see what happens..Also try tightening it to break the seal and just keep working at it will come off

Ok now if this doesnt work.....next option without replacing the stud? Heating it a little bit?

You could try heating it but you would have to have a buddy ready to start turning right away and you dont want to heat it to much to mess up the stud

This nut is a tough one, no doubt about it. You have to find the right combo of swivel, extension and socket and then the right angle to get on it. This caused me much frustration the first timeI took the stock exhaust off. The next time I had it off right away.

Trust me we had the right combo we tried several options...its just a tight seal I wanna kick whoever tightened it this much

soak it in some liquid wrench, WD40, or break free and let it sit for the time it takes to have a smoke or a beer, if it doesn't loosen then i'd soak it in the stuff before bed every night for a week

question...do you have anything holding up your current midsection? As in is there too much angular pressure on the stud/nut. Try propping or jacking it up. Soak the nut with tons of liquid wrench or rust remover then soak a rag with it and leave it on there over night for hahas. If that doesnt work... Sawz-All :D

Not cool with the sawz-all.......but I will try the angular pressure and soaking the s*** out of it

LOL great title. Perfect way to get ppls attention....and I agree with proping the thing up...get the weight off of it.

trust me this thing is on there. i hae never had a cars header bolt say **** you i ant comming off.
