bbk shorth headers
 

Ok I am going to Johnnylighting in a week to get my car tuned. I was thing about putting on the bbk shorty's before I get it tuned. Is it worth the time and money. Will the money because me an a friend will put them on. Do you think I will get around 11+hp, if so it is worth it to me

sorry but i dont think there is anyway you'll get 11+ hp just from shorty headers....longtubes yeah but not shortys...id guess anywhere from 5-8??? id say go longtubes or go nothing

Shorties are just a waste of time IMO.. LTs is the way to go. You'll get maximum performance gains out of your exhaust system this way.. and if you ever go to a S/C they'll be great then too. If you decide to go that route I'd do it before you get it tuned, most tuners put in a header delay that will make it so the front o2 sensors have an adjusted reading because of the delay from LTs.

As i've stated before. Longtubes or nothing!

Shorty headers are just as big of a PITA to install as longtubes with none of the HP gains.Hooker,Kooks,and Bassani mid-length headers will all allow transmission removal with the headers in place.There may be others by now but ask around.Bassani headers are 50 state legal also if you use their catted X-pipe.They are expensive but great quality.
