Bad plug/coil Pack

Is it misfiring?

cobra4123 09-13-2005 11:30 AM

I think your car is hating you lately. Any luck?

Weak Exhaust Valve Spring, staying partially open at high RPM?

cobra4123 09-13-2005 12:15 PM

i was thinking it might be that the x pipe on the pass side has a dent in it to clear trans mount. causein more backpresurre on the pass side. that only holds up if bank2 is the pass side

bank 1 is always the side of the vehicle with the #1 cylindar. typically it is the passenger side. A reading of Bank 2 rich will typically be the O2 sensor on the driver side. you say it only happens between a certain rpm range? I'd say there is something tweaked with your a/f ratio at those rpms, could be a faulty signal between your computer, maf, and injectors, or it could be a faulty oxygen sensor....i'd almost bet on the oxygen sensor...6 bucks at rockauto.com

cobra4123 09-16-2005 06:08 AM

okay it also idels ruff and hesitates to 2500 rpms..... the 02 sensor was black so it is burning rich. should i go ahead and buy o2 sensors?

Smpf9 09-16-2005 07:36 AM

i'd forget about new 02 sensors. it sounds like you either aren't getting complete combustion in a cylindar or you're dumping too much fuel, i'd pull some plugs and see what they look like...
