Which Control arms?
The next mod i have in mind is a good set of upper and lower control arms! Seems even with my 315 Dr's I can't seem to hook at all! I had better traction/better times with my smaller 275/40! I'm fed up with running Dr's at the track and will just buy me a set of et streets and some cheap 15's and toss them in my junk and see what times i get! I had a set of D&D uca's/lca but i never got around to installing them and eventually sold them because i was a short on cash! Anyways heres my current combo and wanted to see what controls arms do you guys recommend! Are the ajustable really necessary for my combo or not? I was told that i would not need ajustables unless i was pushing 500+ rwhp which I'm nowhere close to! ;) ...
Current combo! accufab t/b,c&l plenum, steeda u/d pulleys, densercharger (maff to fenderwell  ) Hooker LT headers, header X-pipe,2.5" tail pipes with welded on dynomax bullets,pro5.0 shifter,D&D tubular K,D&D tubular a-arms,D&D coil overs, strange 10-wy ajustable struts,Upr-3bolt steel CC plates, edelbrock 125 shot dry shot! FFW is coming to town next month and they the prices you find there for parts are a steal, so I'll be picking up a good set of Control arms but are unsure of which ones would yield best results! :) Thanks for any suggestions.. Well, for lower control arms, i'd recommend heavy duty steeda or maximum motorsports.
As far as uppers go, your best bet is either replacing them with a torque arm/pan hard bar or better yet, the 5 link or 5 Link 2. If your budget is intent on sticking with the 4 link design, either mm or steeda uppers will do... |
anybody use he granetteli control arms? there is a guy on corral selling them for like 150, reason I am asking because I know the old saying "you get what you pay for"

I'll be using HPM Megabite Jr. Lowers with Steeda Adjustable uppers. Should be good for...well quicker then I'll ever 60ft. I believe people go have 1.5 and faster short times with that setup, and Lakewood 90/10 and 50/50's out back with appropriate springs.
