Default Noob to this forum and to modular motors

Hello I am new to this forum and hopefully I'm posting in the right place. I will start off by saying I have owned several mustangs I have always shyed away from the 4.6 modular motors because seems like everyone one that I have road in or have drove has seemed under powered compared to the early sn or fox mustangs
as of recently I have purchased a 97 gt convertible. The previous owner said that it had trick flow heads and matching cams the car has a built auto 4.10 gears and full race craft suspension. I am wondering is there an obvious way to verify if the motor has after market heads and cams? Any how thanks in advance
