SCT switch chip! what tunes u have???
im just curious what programs you other people have on your 4 bank position SCT chip.
also it says that Position # 4 is the Stock EEC program. That is the program my car was running with before my tune right? I should never use that tune right? I dont think I should at all in any case cause my car was running 20% leaner before the Tune. lol My air/fual was way off! Also......Positions 5, 6 ,7 say that the CAR WILL NOT RUN IN THIS SETTING. does that mean if I park my car and turn it off..and then switch it to program 5 the car will not start, if i try turning it on?? Is it safe to use those positions as a theft eliminator????????? what do those postions disable??? :confused: |
Mine is as follows:
0 - timing advanced for 93 octane 1 - Timing stock, but a/f leaned up a tad for more hp. 2 - Nitrous tune (timing retarded and traction control turned off etc...) 3 - Not used (future dyno tune) 4 - Chip bypass. This setting uses whatever tune if on you ECU. I can run my stock tune if I want, but my speedo with be off cuz of my gears. All other positions will not allow the car to run. I believe the fuel pump and spark is turned off. The car will still turn-over. |

0 - N/A tune 1 - Nitrous Tune the rest are being saved for various nitrous tunes...on 93 octane and Race Fuel. Philip K. |
ever since I had my car dyno tuned with the SCT chip, my car has been performing like a frigging beast. Beastlier than ever..I love it.

0 - 93 octane (hall @$$ tune) 1 - 87 (for road trips) 2 - waiting for my cams and headers not used tune 3 - valet tune (sets rev limiter at 2500rpms and the speed limiter at 35mph) |

Currently my chip is setup as follows, but will be changing in the future once I add more things to the car.
0 - 110 Race Octane Fuel w/ Bolt On Mods (UDP, Exhaust, CAI) 1 - Empty (Advance tune to be added later) 2 - Empty (Ditto) 3 - 93+ Octane Performance (UDP, Exhaust, CAI) 4 - Stock (Currently Running On) Only reason that im running stock is because of the lack of the exhaust. Without the X-Pipe on there with a new Catback im running a bit rich. The Underdrive pulleys that im putting on this weekend should help me out a bit, enough so that I could probably run the 93+ Octane Performance Tune. Once I toss the new throttle body on there i'll have to get a new tune to accomidate that. It will probably take up my tune slots 1 and 3 (1 for Throttle Body w/out Exhaust and one w/ the exhaust and all bolt on mods). Tune 0 will be modified to accept the new parts as well. Im just glad the tuner is my co-worker :) |
