Quick question needing simple answer

If I banged on a 70mm TB onto my stock 2003 GT would it trip my check engine light?

YES , NO, or MAYBE?

Shouldn't.

You won't have any problems. Just do the following steps and everything will be fine.
1) Unhook negative battery terminal and turn on headlights while putting the parts on.
2) After all the parts are installed and you have double checked eveything, turn off headlights and conect battery. Start the car without touching the gas pedal and let the car run for 20 minutes without touching the pedal, this period of time will allow the computer to relearn itself with the new increased airflow.

Dont expect a major "oh my God" gain in power, you will feel some increase in throttle responce though.

Thanks for that. I don`t expect any gain. I`m doing it for the shinyness :)

My car has a 93 tune on a diablosport tuner, the battery disconnection thing won`t affect this will it?

i would get the car dynoed and check the air/fuel ratio..its POSSIBLE you could run a bit lean still even after the stock computer tune "learns" it..... When I had my accufab 70mm T/B and plenum installed I was runnning lean and the guy tuning my car said it was mostly from the 70mm T/B...

Just my experience..oh and after the car was dyno tuned the throttle response was frikkin awsome.
