im about to remove all my cats on my stang but i was thinkin.... if the check engine or something else will light up on my dash... if so how do i remove it... and will it be toooo loud... i only got a cat back system with flow master mufflers..... no x pipe.... its a stock hpipe will it sound loud but not deep or what........ can u guys plz help me thanks!

going to need a tuner or MIL Eliminators to prevent the CEL. If ur interested in a xcal tuner PM i got one im selling.

Speaking from experience, when i first got my 03 GT, I installed MAC Performance catback, while the stock exhaust was removed, i started car and got on it a few times, man even with mufflers off the CATS really quiet the car down alot. Later i decided the low volume grumble of the catback wasn't enough, i decided to go O/R H Pipe and chose the MAC pipe. Now the car sounds like a Mustang should, not raspy not crackiling and popping, but just a nice 60's muscle car sound, deep loud but still kinda controllable while cruising thru neighborhoods... So go with the H Pipe or X Pipe and if you live in an area where they dont test emissions get rid of the cats but be prepared to get some MIL Eliminators or have a chip or tuner cut off rear O2's so that the engine light will stay off...

i had a group of ferral cats in my stang, every time i got rid of one 2-3 would show up. eventually i ended up putting out traps and eventually got all of them.
