Stupid question about exhaust now that you showed me up and I had to delete my post. :D

I've always heard the whole exhaust system is welded together, but in the Mustang World tutorial it shows everyting being unbolted.

If I get the Mac Prochamber (poor 17 year old without a job) how would I be able to bolt it up to the 2.25" stock catback and headers? Yes I know its just the mid pipe but it would be a nice change until I was able to find a job and afford a catback system.

as long as its one for a car with shorty headers or stock manifolds it will bolt up to stock catback and stock headers. also catbacks dont do much so if your poor just get some mufflers welded up in place of the stock ones. i recomend mac flowpaths and spintech prostreet mufflers.

I am 100% sure I will get a catback to replace the stockers after time, but right now I'm being offered a free mid pipe, so I figured it would be smart to go ahead and take that. So is there no cutting needed to replace it? I thought the whole system was welded together?

If you are gonna add a catback at some point I would not bother with mufflers. The mid pipe is all bolts! Assuming you have one that fots with stock headers, you are good to go. It is sometimes tough to get the midpipe on and not leak, so be sure to take your time.

The 2.25" bolts up like normal to the 2.5" at the headers and catback assuming I only replace the midpipe at this time.

Take the prochamber, it will fit. Also, I would really just recommend doing the weld in mufflers. The cat back wont do anything that you are going to feel, just make the same sound. Flows and prochamber sound great, I just put mine on. Just be prepared to want a lower gear like 3.73s or 4.10s to get back the torque you lose. My 3.73's are going in weekend after next. Cant wait.
