2004 svt cobra and 2009 GT
 

I have a 09 mustang GT, i love the 04 cobras, they sound unreal, what do i have to put into my car to make it sound as close as possible to the cobra. i kno that they r different engines. but is there anything i can do?

Find one you like and ask what exhaust they have. Copy that same setup and you should be there. There really isn't much if all of a difference between the sounds of the motor. They are are 4.6 engines. Just depends on what exhaust/midpipe/headers they go with. I've heard some pretty shitty sounding cobras.

i know where i live alot guys wit termis run magnaflow catbacks with the stock mid pipe minus the resonators. sound also comes from the bends of the pipes to. the 99 and up have the exhaust out the center under the chunk. hope that helps man

kenne bell 2.6 liter blower will make your car sound like a cobra...

But generally outrun them. :D

Or, just get a Hellion Turbo kit and woop all their asses.

Turbos on S197s kick ass for some reason.

turbo anything kicks ass but really turbo 4 valve will kill all. Every time.

too bad 09's 3valve..

Unless it's turbocharged AND supercharged. When I had my subframes installed, the shop I was at had a S197 like that. They were taking bets on what will break first: the built 8.8" or the 5R55E.

Well yeah, go search up for videos of the Hellraiser Hellion kits for the Termis, keeps factory supercharger and runs two 60mm turbos. Talk about no boost lag, the supercharger kicks in to get it going and then the turbos take over.

You finally CAN bake your cake and eat it too. Lol.

Your 3v is not going to sound the same a 4v 4.6 with the same exhaust. It will sound close, but not the same. The 3v defiantly sounds different then 2v/4v motors.
