C springs or Pro kit

Will I notice a large difference in handling between these two kits? Mostly I am looking for the drop but if it improves the handling over stock that is a plus as well...I notice C springs are 139 here, and through my work I can get Pro-Kit for 299, canadian dollars. I am thinking if it is only a 1/4'' difference in drop I am fine with that, but is the pro kit really worth the extra $$?? also I am liking the idea of C-springs so I wont need CC plates.

The ride is nice with the Pro-Kit, also you don't need CC plates with the Pro-Kit. I hear the ride is not that good with the C-springs...that's why I went with the Eibachs...If I were you I would go with Eibach or H&R.

The Eibachs are progressive rate springs, so I think that will make them ride better, but if you dont care about that, and just want lowering springs for a great price, the C springs will be great for you.

Go with Steeda or Bullitt springs, I have had Eibachs for 5 years and switching to bullitts.

Ive heard from some that they needed CC plates when going with the pro kit, but others said it was ok. Is it going to be worth the 75-100 dollar difference? then say I need CC plates.
thanks for the input everyone.

That's weird...the Pro-kits don't drop low enough to need CC plates but they do offer another type of spring that does.

Sportlines deffinitly need the CC plates, but Ive heard a few say that with the pro kit they had alignment problems and needed CC plates, a few others said there was no problem. On the ones that did need them it caused poor tire wear.

I installed mine myself...it took like 4 hours cause of one dumbass bolt but I figured out a way to work around it so the whole car would take about 2-2 1/2 hours. Post up on boards to see if there's anyone around your area that could help you out.

i didnt really read all the replies but get the eibachs. the thing with cc plates is that alignment shops will not garantee their work if you dont have them. i dont have them and i have a pretty good alignment i do have negative camber going on but its not as bad as the c springs that my roommates have.

venom 07-28-2005 06:22 AM

What I have heard is that the Csprings are made by Eibach so they are just as soft and the Bullitt are made by Steeda.

A couple people at my work today were suggesting BBK springs which say a 1.5 drop and do not need camber plates. any info on these springs??
thanks.

I noticed you have tokico shocks and struts, a buddy at work was saying i should get some shocks and struts or else the ride wont be good. Is this true? do I NEED to get these shocks and struts immediatly? or is it bareable with the 1.5 drop?? thanks.

HappySavage 07-29-2005 04:55 PM

Eibach pro-kit 1.5 drop is the way to go. i just got them about a month ago and im happy with them. got the sensa track shocks and struts also. no CC plates needed. did it my self and it took about 13 hours due to having to drop the Rack and Pinion steering system to get the front springs out. plus ive never done anything like that before. i say screw alignments. as soon as you take a turn real fast or hit a pot hole your alignments shot anyway. i have never had my car aligned and it rides just fine. i say get the prokit.
