Mach 1 vs Termi Specs
There has been a lot of talk about what the difference is between the 2003-2004 Cobra "Terminator" 4v supercharged engine opposed to the 2003-2004 Mach 1 4v un-supercharged engine lately, so I thought that it would be useful to some folks who were curious about this for me to list some information regarding both engines.

5th gear ratio is wrong on the cobra. Where is half the info for the Mach?
|
I've been looking for the info on the Mach. Still quite a bit of info, but I can't find the other stuff. What's the correct ratio for the Termi?
|
0-60 time for the Mach would be nice :)
|
added.
|
I find the mach's 1/4 mile time hard to believe.... And after research i was right.
I've seen modded mach's run mid 13's. Here's one with off road x, short throw, and muffler change - 13.553 @ 109.110 |
They have gone high 12's bone stock with sticky tires. With street tires I'm not aware of them breaking 12's 100% stock. 03-04 Cobras have and still do go 12.4-12.5@110-113mph totally stock 100%.
And King the ratios for the cobra are all screwed up. Here is the correct list. Gear Ratio 1st 2.66 2nd 1.78 3rd 1.30 4th 1.00 5th 0.80 6th 0.63 Reverse 2.90 |
Fixed.

Fuggin sick.....
And my original GT was sitting next to a mach that I didn't want because it was grey. I thought they had the same engine -_- |
Nice work!!! Unfortunately I dont drive either one of those cars but still...good stuff
|
0-60 could be a little off for the Mach, I dont know personally but I've read as low as 4.7 stock, but I have also seen up to 5.2... dunno for sure

Pretty close to LS1s, sure...but LS1s still take the cake. Stock for Stock anyway.

Lol His cobra's def. fast enough.

Cobra > Mach 1 stock for stock -- your Cobra isn't stock...as for my Mach 1, other than maybe a CAI I'm fairly stock.

haha, that reminds me of a video I saw from that Supra nationals thing in Texas. Some guy from Florida went out there with his 600rwhp cobra. He thought his car was fast and wanted to see how it would do on the streets and he pretty much got whooped by everyone he raced. He even got his ass handed to him by an older eclipse.

Final drive ratio is the last gear times the rear end gear, so it should be less than 3.55.
|
The Mach1's have aluminum blocks? I could of swore Ford stopped that in 01.
|
I know for the Cobras they did, but I believe all other 4Vs got Aluminum.
|
Yes, the Mach's got an aluminum block.
I pulled this from the Mach 1 registry regarding the gearing. The info is a little different than Kings information.....not sure which is right. 1st - 3.38; 2nd - 2.00; 3rd - 1.32; 4th - 1.00; 5th - 0.62; Rev. - 3.38 I remember reading somewhere the Mach 1's had a little different ratio's because Ford wanted to improve the 1/4 time or something. I have no idea if that is true. |
This is straight from Tremec's website.
