Broken input shaft?
 

I was driving yesterday, nothing out of the normal just turned onto a street gave it a little gas and the car just stopped accelerating and the rpms shot up, I thought maybe the rear end blew out, but It did not lock up and there was no grinding. I coasted down the street and pulled into a neighborhood and parked the car their. The transmission is brand new, it's a lentech street terminator. Could it possibly be the converter?

one day samething happend to my car when i was in an unsavory neighborhood (East Oakland). one of my cooling lines blew off my external tranny cooler and dumped 11 quarts of fluid on the street leaving me stranded....

i dont know if you checked your fluid level or not...thats the cheapest thing to look at. if that checks good the next thing would be the converter

Ya tranny fluid is fine, thinking its either my input shaft or torque converter, the car will go into gear doesnt make any funny noises, just doesn't go anywhere.

Sounds like the Stator in the converter is screwed.
