popping noise in rear of 2001 GT

There is a strange noise that is coming from the rear end of my '01 GT that I can't seem to figure out. Almost every time I take (easy or hard), I hear a popping noise in the rear that sounds like metal shifting. If I roll forward, then put it in reverse and go back, I hear it again. I don't hear it while driving down the road just most of the time when the car's momentum goes forward or back. The noise is definitely coming from the rear closer to driver's side from what I can tell. I have changed shocks and tightened everything back there but no change. If anyone has any ideas of what it could be, please let me know. The car still runs and drives fine but the noise is annoying as hell. By the way, I have already checked u-joints and sway bar and they are ok.

Is still drives fine? How loud is the noise? Is there any hesitation in acceleration if even for a second?

Sounds like the bushings are allowing excessive movement. This is normal, considering they're rubber.
