exactly what does an X pipe do for you? I really cant see how it would make a difference than just stright out the back pipes.

X will give you a little more on the top end over and H. Also gives it a little different sound. A crossover pipe will help with cylinder scavenging and cut down on some burbleing when you let off the throttle.

I just got mine a few months back, Im not sure exactly what was done to the exhuast except up close to the manifolds they have two smaller looking cats on each side, it has no H or X, just goes stright to the flowmasters and out the back like normal, where can I see a stock setup to see or figure exactly what the last guy did to it?

I absolutely LOVE the crackling at high rpm after letting off the gas. Man oh man, i love hearing it.

Theres a good vid of my exhaust and I have the MT uncatted x-pipe with slp loudmouth. And you can hear every time I let off the gas I always keep it in gear bc I love the crackling. A big thing the aftermarket mid-pipes do is allow more airflow. If i remember correctly, stick is a lil over 2 in, in diameter and the aftermarket ones are 2.5. it may not seem like much, but there is usually a good 10 hp added, if even better if you already have other mods like catback, intake, headers, etc.

I dunno dude, I like flowmasters far better than that, you have almost lost the Mustang sound with those pipes, its too crackly and loud....kinda like a broke tail pipe or hole in the muffler..lol...just my opinion though.

the part of your exhaust system thats after the cats (catalitic convertors) this would be the part your mufflers are at.
