replacing starter
 

gotta replace my starter. anyone done the same on this car/engine? experiences & instructions welcomed.

LOL good luck...its a shitty job

there are 3 bolts that hold the starter on and you will need some long extensions...i would say about 2 feet and a couple universal joints to help you get the top hidden bolt on the starter. the first time i dropped my tranny it took me like 3 hours just to get the starter out.

autozone.com has manuals online i use that for torque specs since i cant get my hands on some decent manuals.

the most accessable bolt is simple just undo it as for the the extensions get some long ones and go at it from the front as if u were looking at the rear of the car there is an access hole
and then there is the tricky one just do ur best with universial joints and extentions and do what works
when i put in headers i just put 2 of the easier bolts back in
no big deal no need for a 3rd bolt
Starts perfectly

bring beers and cigarettes.. you'll need to de-stress every few minutes. It's not challenging...just a PITA due to limited space.
