Should I stick with SLP

I have SLP Loudmouth on my 1998 gt... I want it to be louder should i get a SLP X pipe or get headers.... What exactly does an x pipe do to make it louder.... will the exhuast pop alot when i let off the gas with this x pipe????

I have Bassani catted xpipe with SLPS and it does not pop when you let off. How ever if you are getting headers you will need to get a shorter xpipe. I need to sell my bassani xpipe as I cant use it with my engine swap.

I dunno what it sounds like w/ stock h-pipe, but I can tell you its loud as hell with an x-pipe. Mine has no cats, so its even louder than one w/ cats. definitely get an x or h-pipe and hear the sound, THEN make your decision

im surprised your not sayin its too loud...even though you just have slp exhaust? especially since its the loudmouth 1. Those things are loud as they come. If you want it to be louder your best bet is to go headers...just dont go shorty (not worth the money). Headers will give you the best sound and power, but right after that id still purchase a x pipe...they add to the sound even more and give around 15 hp.

i have heard a slp with an slp x with cats and slp long tubes and it sounded sick. If you get an o/r x it will be really loud and sounds too raspy IMO.
