Header Related Problems

ok so i have put in my headers
well the drivers side
and by a stroke of luck I didnt break any studs
just a stripped nut (but that has been taken care of)
and i cant seem to get the other side to go in
its pretty close just not quite there yet
any suggestions on how to get that baby to slide right in?

also i bent my EGR Tube
not a big deal?
oh and a o2 sensor, got that covered tho

Thanks
Let me Know if your having this type of problems

Where is the header hanging up? Could be that you need to raise the engine a little bit to slide it in or it could be the engine mount is in the way (in which case you need to remove it). As for the EGR, as long as it still fits, it's not a big deal.

this would be the passenger side header
I have lifted the engine removed the starter everything i can think of
really? the EGR isnt a big deal?
i would think that i would throw a code?

what kind of headers are you installing. Also a good idea is to run a tap inside the threads before you put the header back on as this will avoid any chance of you stripping the threads inside the heads. Passenger side is tuff to get at to put the bolts in due to the bend of some headers. I had to cut out nice round hole in the upper k-member/fender well towards the back to get access to the bolt.

Sorry, thought you meant driver side. However, as I said, as long as the EGR hooks up, you won't throw a code. Also, have you tried tilting the engine by leaving the driver side mount attached, removing the passenger side and then jacking the engine up?

nope i havent trien that yet but it sounds like a really good idea i can see that giving me enough cleareance
lll try that for sure
