01 explorer intake
 

will an 01 4.6 explorer intake manifold and injectors work on a 4.6 mustang as well? the throttle body exits toward passenger side just like on a mustang and it looks identical but just want to make sure.

I don't know about the 01 explorer intake but I’m using a 2003/2004 explorer intake and it does work but it has its couple of differences. It did not have the heater core hookup at the back of the intake and I had to plug one hole on the aluminum crossover.

Whats the purpose of adding an explorer intake?
Power gains, or just easier to find?

Power wise no different. I bought an explorer motor to build up. Then i just decided go with the explorer intake so i could keep the stock motor together.

i have one with injectors still in it and was going to try and sell it on here but wanted to make sure it would work on a mustang
