how impressive is the performance with underdrive pulleys, is it worth it, or not enough bang for the buck?? anyone??

Consider doing a search first since every time this is brought up, pulleys are shot down since the power gained is very little but the cash spent is a lot. However, if you are dying for them, get the Steedas. As for CAIs, completely worthless. Just remove the silencer on your stock air box and add a K&N filter. With the money saved w/ these mods, you can spend it on worth while stuff like a shifter, suspension, brakes, cams, etc.

Hey Jerry, With these 2v motors any bolt on is going to be a nomial increase in hp. The only bolt ons that show major gains are forced induction and N20. With any motor you have to have good air flow in and good air flow out. Headers are a very good investment but are high dollar. Intakes, pleuems, and throttle bodies are also good but also big $s. Cams and heads are the heart and soul of any motor. The bolt ons will only compliment the good stuff. Some bolt ons may add 1or2 hp but if you add enough ones and twos together you end up with ??.

Supension will get all of this new found power to the ground where it belongs.

Shifters and clutches are also needed to handle the extra power. Everything else is just for looks.

Your choices are endless and the route you go will depend on how far you want to go and how FAT your wallet is. Good Luck

I have the Steeda pulleys because i got them used and they give some power but not alot. My freinds car used to be even with mine added those and he couldn't keep up once the rpms were up. Did they help or was my powershifting to much for him who knows. For the cheap price i paid it was worth it.

cool so then, once the big stuff is in, cams, heads, plenums, etc., then the cai and other stuff will compliment? cool, thing is i dont know much about cams and heads, what do the cams work for, what about the heads? sorry bout all the questions, i just wanna be more than the average guy who just buys a k&n and thinks hes all big stuff.

CAI will not help until you get some sort of FI. What will help once you open up the heads is a better intake manifold and even then, it's not much. Ford did a good job, just not in the heads, cams, or exhaust manifolds (performance wise).
