Best CAI for Terminator?

What is the best CAI for a 2003 mustang cobra. The mods that it has are an offroad x pipe a magnaflow catback and an mgw shifter along with some eradispeed rotors and it will be getting a tune. I just wanna know which cai is really the best one?

Codiddy 03-19-2008 12:00 AM

Blue Thunder 03-19-2008 10:35 AM

Lazerred6 03-19-2008 01:57 PM

I hear you. I got mine for 3000 and now I am dealing with mod fever I just want more more more but rent won't pay itself neither will my tuition.

Blue Thunder 03-19-2008 03:43 PM

I'm about to be 19 and I get money through saving money from when i was younger and also i'm in the navy in a special forces unit called EOD which pays pretty damn good as well. Besides now that that's all clear and explained can somebody answer my very simple question hahaha! I know i like to plan ahead big time it drives people crazy. If the deal goes through though and it probably will i will have a 2003 sonic blue cobra that has 4000 miles on it in the next few days. It's in immaculate condition! 30k puts it in my garage.

PColav6 03-19-2008 03:51 PM

You're 18 and in EOD? Yeah I doubt for some odd reason..

You can enlist when you turn 18 and in less than a year you got to be in EOD impossible

with 3 weeks of preparatory training in Great Lakes, Illinois. The candidate will work on swim stroke development, long range swims and physical conditioning. EOD candidates will then attend an additional 51 weeks of rigorous training. Their training starts with 9 weeks of dive school held at Naval Diving and Salvage Training Center (NDSTC) in Panama City, Florida. Besides learning how to dive, these candidates learn about the various kinds of equipment and dive physics.</SPAN>

It takes more than a year to get there and you are less than a year in

PColav6 03-19-2008 04:23 PM

^ You also need 36 months of service upon completing EOD training IIRC.

Blue Thunder 03-19-2008 04:33 PM

I'm currently in Coronado, CA i've already gone through my salvage trainign in Florida and the jump scool @ Fort Benning Georgia. I'm considered EOD but have yet to complete the last portion of my of my specialized training. Wow all I wanted to know was about a CAI

JLT makes good intakes. I'm sure you can understand why people are going after you lately a lot of younger people (not even 20) talk about getting cobra and such which is very unrealistic/basically impossible for the most part. Most people don't have 20-30K of disposable income (plus insurance, mods) when they are under 20. Thats the only reason why people questioned you but yes to answer your question check out JLT

White04GT 03-19-2008 05:45 PM

Who the fuck cares if he is 19 and can afford a cobra. I am 20 and I wait tables and could afford a cobra but I chose not to because I already have so much money in my car and it is already payed off...Anyways if I was you I would get a JLT RAI. My buddy has one on his 03 cobra and he is 19 oh snap:eek:

Blue Thunder 03-20-2008 09:01 AM

Also for those who must question how I afford what my parents are financing the Cobra for my interest free. Anyways I heard the JLT is only good to 550HP and that concerns me. Yeah my Bullitt is paid off too, but shit keeps breaking (it spit out a $600 differential yesterday and it burns oil). Whatever people shouldn't be mad because someone can afford something that others can't that's retarded. All I wanted to know with this thread was ino on a CAI for a Cobra! If ya'll want a thread on how young people afford the cars that they drive start a new thread! There's a guy I know who's 17 who drives a new Z06 it doesn't matter though how he necesairly got it the fact of the matte ris that he does own it!

Dave04Mustang 03-20-2008 09:41 AM

Considering no one attacked you since your last post that response was pretty pointless.

People already answered your question. I said JLT and White04GT said JLT. I haven't seen this HP rating your talking about so I don't know about that all I know is I've seen many cobra's with JLT intakes

Ill bold my response since you keep thinking no one is giving recommendations in your "intake thread"

White04GT 03-20-2008 09:46 AM

possibly look into a JDM cold air intake as well. I think JLT also has a "high boost" cai.

jjtgiants 03-20-2008 10:13 AM

just for the record I wasn't bashing you for being 18 and having money purchase a Termi. I just think it's funny you post threads asking about mods for a car you don't have yet.

To keep the spirit of the thread....I've always had K&N CAI's on my mustangs, but when i get another stang I'll get a JLT. Good quality and they look good to.

01FR500 03-20-2008 03:53 PM

I was going to say JLT also, but I don't know what all the options are for the Cobra's. On a side note about you being young and having a cobra. I go to school with a guy who, in the past three months has owned a mint black RX7, blue w/ white stripes Viper, and now new black Z06. So I don't see why it is a big idea why it matters if anyone is young and owns something nice. Everyone has a different life situation.

Codiddy 03-20-2008 11:25 PM

Some people own houses, some own cars. Some buy their own cars, some have mommy and daddy buy it for them. Its like street was talking about in the other thread, some people would rather live in an apartment and drive a benz than own a house and drive a civic. If somebody wants to have their priorities mixed up its their prerogative. (Not saying any of this necessarily applies to blue thunder since I don't know his situation, just stating an example)

Blue Thunder 03-21-2008 08:12 AM

Thanks for the input i'll check out JLT as compared to the JDM one thanks!

stangcharger 03-21-2008 12:18 PM

JLT pretty much owns. it is just a big wide open pipe LOL..

my friend had one on his 03 cobra. i havent heard of the 550rwhp limit either soo..
