Mustang clutch adjuster kit

Can someone please explain what this does and how it works. I had an SS for my last car and the clutch was different on it.

Once you replace the plastic clutch quadrant(stock)you lose the ability to adjust the clutch with your toes. The adjuster will now be outside on the firewall where it should be in the first place. It uses a threaded fitting to lengthen or shorten the outside covering of the cable thereby tightening or loosening the cable inside. These are pretty much a necessity when using an aftermarket clutch as the increased loads on the original part usually cause it to fail quickly.Usually at a stop light with five o'clock traffic in a hurricane.

U might wanna check out the Steeda Double Hook Quadrant and Steeda Firewall Adjuster. I have that set up. And love it..

If u have or getting a Aftermarket performance Clutch I would go with the Centerforce Dual Friction clutch. And then swap out the stock plastic quadrant for the steeda quadrant...and get the Firewall cable adjuster. O, And u should use your stock cable.....
