Pulleys...good ones?

I recently received a set of BBK pulleys for the GT.....I have heard or March, ASP, Steeda, and BBK....any better or worse than others?

you want the kind of underdrive pulleys that aren't piggyback style, meaning they replace all of your pulleys instead of running off one of the stockers (i believe the crank). I know steedas are good, but I am pretty sure BBKs are piggyback style.

I vote for Steeda....can't go wrong.

I just got them installed...WOW what a difference...and they were the piggyback style...

ON EDIT...

TOOK THEM OFF, SOLD THEM ON EBAY, GOT STEEDA PULLEYS...WAAAAAY BETTER THAN THE BBK....

Another vote for Steeda u/d pulleys. they fit perfectly and do add power :D

Wow, I thought the BBK's were a piggyback, did you really notice that much of a difference?

I had the BBK's on my 94 very noticable

The March ones we just received I am VERY impressed with. They are a 3 pully kit, and are much better looking than the STeeda pulleys. I also am impressed with how much less they weigh, they must only weigh about 5 lbs total, compared to Steedas 15-20lbs?

True...but the March Pulleys are the piggyback style, which means you have to put your stock crank pulley with vibration dampner back on on top of the pulley new pulley...so any gain you have in weight loss is negated by the fact you have to put the stock one (which weighs a ton!) right back on...

Pullies will not make as much power on a mod motor as they do on a 5.0. Ford did a better job on the mod motors and tightend things up. I did pick up 1.5 mph in the 1/4 with my pullies.
I went with Steeda's, avoid the piggyback one's.

Which ones do you have? BTW, have you heard MAR is gone?!?!

Blue02GT 11-23-2004 07:11 AM

I have the Steeda's, I had not heard about MAR.

It was sold before the season was over...and the following Monday crews came in and destroyed the place...they are going to sub-divide it into many new home lots...sad...
