trying to get some input on a set of cams for my 04 gt. only got exhaust done right now. slp o/r x-pipe w/ loudmouth cat-back. what kind of results are we talking with the VT stage 1 or 2 and would i need to get new springs or lifters?

It depends on what your ultimate goals for your car are. If your are building a daily driven street car like My 04 I would go with stage 1 cams If you want a more strip oriented car and care less about daily driving I would go with Stage 2 cams. Stage 2 cams will make more power at high RPM's than the stage 1's but you will give up more low and Midrange power. My car is being set up for Street, autocross, and some future open track events, so I want to have an engine with a wide power band. If Drag racing is your goal the Stage 2's will work better because the car spends the whole time in the upper RPM ranges. As far as valve springs, you can get away with the stockers on the stage 1's but you have to use new springs with the stage 2's. I would recommend springs with any cam swap though. :wave:

and wat #s will u see with the stage 1 and tuning??

Well Ive seen about 20 hp gains. Thats with the stage ones and the tune. The stage 2's will be about 25, but under the curve, vt saw 50 more hp with the stage 2's, so they are definately worth the money.

P.S, I closed the other thread, keep it to one thread per subject, keeps the board clean.

The stage 2's are 100% streetable. I daily drive with mine and a 3500 stall.

could you do a tune w/ a predator? or shoud you let a shop do it?

I would take it to a shop. Usually the idle is messed up so taking it to the shop is the best bet.

also 03gtmustang im assuming you got springs...what kind?

i would use vt stage 2s and the comp springs. get a custom dyno tune. if you dont want to go through the hassle of swapping springs get the stage ones. you still will want to get a dyno tune.
