i just got my predator and installed it....i felt a little difference but to tell you the truth not as much as i expected....i just used the standard diablo tune..........i didnt customize it....so my question is there any way to safely increase the predators effect.if so what should i adjust and to what extent.i have a 2001 gt automatic with slp catback c&l plenum, mac throttle body and cai...........thanx trnin

I felt a pretty impressive increase in power when I installed My Predator tune. You can play with your shift points and shift firmness with the Predator which could get you some more performance. You can also play with your wide open throttle fuel and spark curves, but I would recommend doing that on a chassis dyno so you dont do any harm to the engine.

to what extent should i change these things.....i need specifics.....quite frankly messing around with the ecu kinda scares me

i wouldnt go too much more aggressive than the supplied performance tune. shift firmness and shift points you can play with, but any extensive ecu tuning should be done in a custom tune on a dyno.

To get the most from the diablo you have to run premium. The gain in hp and torque is small but real, and trying the shift management function should yield some results. If you're expecting the dramatic results the diesel truck guys get, forget it - Ford just didn't leave that much improvement on the table.
