I guess I might be an older person by some standards, but I refuse to grow up, hah! :D

I have a friend, he is an older guy. He and a buddy back in '67 bought a new Mustang Shelby GT-500. His buddy went off to Vietnam and was killed. The car sat until 1984 with 2700 miles on it as he did not have the heart to drive it. In 1984, he bought out his friend's half of the car from his friends father who was then dying. Be paid $5,000 for his half.

In 1991 the car was sold to Reggie Jackson for $89,000 and two years ago sold at auction for $190,000. It was a red vert with a white top. A lot of people saw it on TV when it sold.

anyone know any good shops around West Chester, PA that are reputable and fair on prices? I just bought 3.73 gears and need to get them installed.

I am also really mature for my age and unlike most other teenages with V8's, i dont find being a Jackass in my car to be something to joke about. These cars demand respect and when you thing you are a man, it will show you its ass in a hurry. Gosh, I sound like you you old fart :D Hope yalls opinion of my hasnt changed. LOL better than the hondas I used to want...oh lord, what was I thinking.

Wow, you are like identical to me..

payin my own car payments, gas, and all my mods

AND , i hate to say, used to like the civics , preludes, and all that crap...

While my loyalties are always with the blue oval... don't bash Honda.

They make some pretty sick cars... the NSX-R spanked the Lambo Murcielago + Gallardo, Ferrari 360 Modena, Porsche 911, and BMW M3 CS-1 on a road track course... with a 200hp handicap to the Murcielago's 560.

Plus... they get good gas mileage :D

Stanger35thGT 09-29-2004 07:05 PM

they're good cars....its just when people waste their money on the unpleasant things, such as "fart" cans, bigass park benches (wings), etc etc....i guess you could call it "Riced Out"

its just not my taste...

but im not bashing honda...they make some good economy cars and going with what you just said...some pretty quick ones

4:10 RPM/Speed Calculation

To find your speed at any given RPM with a 4:10, just triple your RPM reading (2500 X 3 = 7500) and then decimalize that number (7500 divided by 100 = 75.00, or 75) to get your MPH. In order to figure out RPMs at a given speed, just reverse the above calculation. This is an old hot rodders trick and works very well.

Oh the good lord knows id love to get gas mileage like a honda, so im not bashing their engineers AMAZING economy skills. But from a performance standpoint, it cost WAY too much money to make one fast and reliable. Oh and might we add that the "Honda" Nsx R costs almost 100k. But yes, id love to have one but I could do a lot more with a 100k. :D Used ferrari anyone?
